If you are booked on one of the new Summer 2021 cruises on Adventure of the Seas from the Bahamas, you might be wondering what there is to do on the ship. Adventure of the Seas still has many activities and entertainment options available despite health and safety protocols. So, we give you our picks for the Top Things to Do on Adventure of the Seas.
Top Things to Do on Adventure of the Seas
Make a Splash on the Perfect Storm Waterslides
During one of Adventure of the Seas’ past refurbishments, the ship received the Perfect Storm duo of waterslides. These two slides allow for some high-speed thrills as you spiral down 3-stories.
They are sure to provide some wet and wild fun during the warm Bahamian days. In our experience, the lines are usually the shortest for these rides on embarkation day or on a port day.
Although, given the reduced capacity on this trip, there never seemed to be lines anywhere.
Hang Ten on the Flowrider
Loyal to Royal fans will also find the cruiser favorite, Flowrider surf simulator, on the sports deck of Adventure of the Seas. Even if you do not know how to surf, you should try out some boogie boarding.
What’s the worst that can happen?
If you aren’t up for the challenge yourself, the Flowrider makes for a great spectator sport as well.

Relax by the Pool
If waterslides and surfing aren’t your idea of fun in the sun, you can certainly just spend your sea days relaxing poolside.
Adventure of the Seas is home to two outdoor pools, whirlpools, Splashaway Bay for the little ones, and plenty of socially distanced loungers.
There is also the adult-only Solarium where you can find a quiet chill space away from the sounds of the pool deck.
Again, given the reduced capacity, we never had an issue finding poolside loungers any time of day.
Go Ice Skating
There is not a lack of complimentary activities on Adventure of the Seas.
The Studio B ice rink, which debuted on this class of ships, offers select times during the cruise where you can lace up a pair of skates and test out your moves. You will need to sign up for a skate time once onboard the ship.
Of course, if you’d prefer to leave the jumps and spins to the professionals, Studio B also features a signature ice skating performance on select nights.
Putt a Round of Mini Golf
If you are looking for more family-friendly activities, you can putt a round on Adventure of the Seas’ 2-story mini golf course. The Adventure Dunes is a colorful 9-hole course that is conveniently located near the other sports deck activities like the Flowrider and rock climbing wall.
It is also a complementary activity, so feel free to play as much as you like. Disinfecting wipes are located at the beginning of the course, so you can sanitize the equipment before playing.
Dine at a Specialty Restaurant
Adventure of the Seas is home to some great specialty restaurants including the classic Chops Grille, Izumi Sushi, and Giovanni’s Table. The casual burger joint, Johnny Rockets, is also onboard this ship.
These restaurants do all have up-charges; though, they make for a special night out during your cruise. If you plan to dine at a few of these venues, the Unlimited Dining Plan is a good value.
These restaurants book up quickly, so you should try to make any specialty restaurant reservations before you board the ship.

Nighttime Entertainment
Royal Caribbean is known for having some of the best entertainment at sea. While Adventure of the Seas does not feature any Broadway production shows like other ships in the fleet, there is still plenty of nighttime fun.
In the main theater, you will find a production show featuring the Royal Caribbean singers and dancers, in addition to several headliner acts. There is a signature ice show in Studio B as well.
These shows do require reservations now, which can be made in the app once onboard the ship.
Unfortunately, some of the adult game shows and Royal Promenade parties are currently unavailable.
Enjoy Some Drinks and Live Music
If you prefer a more laid back evening, there are plenty of bars and lounges on Adventure of the Seas that feature signature drinks and live music.
Our personal favorite bar on Royal Caribbean ships is the Schooner Bar. This bar features our favorite signature martinis, the lavender daiquiri and sidecar, as well as live piano music.
There is also Boleros with a distinct Latin theme, the pub with live guitar music, and a band that often played in the Imperial Lounge.
Not to mention, Royal Caribbean has launched a brand new cocktail menu. This new Royal Caribbean bar menu features some tasty new drinks that you will want to sample during your cruise!
Take Advantage of the Double-Dip on Perfect Day at CocoCay
To extend your fun beyond the ship, Adventure of the Seas’ Summer 2021 cruises are spending two days at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
This private island oasis features several attractions like a waterpark with the tallest waterslide in North America, a tethered hot air balloon ride, a zipline, a large lagoon style pool, and the exclusive Coco Beach Club with the first overwater cabanas in the Bahamas.

Enjoy Being Back Out to Sea
As one of the first ships from the Royal Caribbean fleet back in service, perhaps you don’t care about any of these activities. If you are happy just being back out to sea, there are plenty of quiet spots around the ship to just take it all in.
You can enjoy the sound of the ocean from your balcony. You can admire the views from the helipad. Or, you can find a spot in the Solarium to catch up with a good book or check email.
However you choose to spend your week onboard Adventure of the Seas, it is sure to be a great time.
