A Day at Royal Caribbean’s Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas

A Day at Royal Caribbean's Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas

Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas. CocoCay recently underwent a massive renovation completely transforming the island. The newest addition to the private island is the Coco Beach Club, which offers an exclusive and luxurious experience. During our last visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay, we spent the day at Royal Caribbean’s Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas!

Coco Beach Club

For Royal Caribbean cruisers seeking the ultimate in luxury, this private club on Perfect Day at CocoCay offers exclusive access to a beach, infinity pool, private dining, and more.

With a capacity of only a few hundred people, the Coco Beach Club offers an escape from all the other island guests and your own slice of paradise on the soft, sandy beach. You can also come and go as you please, so you can still check out the rest of Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Now, you could just reserve a day pass to the Coco Beach Club which gives you access to most amenities. These include beach chairs and umbrellas, daybeds near the pool, and premium towels. The beach chairs and daybeds are available on a first come, first served basis.

The Infinity Edge Pool in the Coco Beach Club is also available for guests who purchase a day pass to this exclusive area on the island. The infinity pool features in-water loungers, amazing ocean vistas, and bar service.

Another luxury of the Coco Beach Club is access to exclusive dining at the Coco Beach Club restaurant. With main entrees like filet mignon and lobster, how could you refuse?

Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas

If you want to elevate your time in the Coco Beach Club even more, you could splurge on one of the new floating cabanas. These cabanas include complimentary admission to Coco Beach Club for up to eight guests, in addition to the luxe accommodations. It is important to note that pricing is per cabana, not per person.

These Floating Cabanas are a first of its kind in the Bahamas. Aptly named, these cabanas are over the water and are accessible via a pier. Not to mention, the location provides amazing vistas in every direction.

Each cabana is 675 square feet, meaning there is plenty of room for sweet amenities like an overwater hammock and a personal slide into the water.

The cabanas also include a sectional sofa, dining area, and 4 lounge chairs for the ultimate day of relaxation. Other amenities help to provide all the comforts of home like lockable storage, charging outlets, premium towels, a wet bar with a sink and fridge, and a freshwater shower.

These cabanas are shaded with a straw roof and have a ceiling fan. Though, unlike some of the villas on NCL’s Great Stirrup Cay, they do not have air conditioning, a private restroom, TV, or other such features. In fact, the restroom in the Coco Beach Club is a bit of a walk from these floating cabanas.

Food and Drinks at the Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas

The Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas have service with a cabana attendant, who will take care of all your food and drink needs.

The cabanas come complete with a cooler and an unlimited supply of bottled water. Also, there is a minibar with wine, beer, and soft drinks. These are included in the beverage package if you purchased one. However, all drinks besides water will cost a la carte otherwise. That means if you don’t have a drink package, you will need to pay out of pocket to try the Coco Beach Club’s signature drink, Coco Cuvee.

Coco Beach Club on Perfect Day at CocoCay drinks

The new Crown & Anchor Society drink vouchers are supposed to work on Perfect Day at CocoCay. Though, there seemed to be some confusion about this new policy when we tried to redeem our vouchers for a signature Coco Loco.

In our opinion, these premium cabana offerings should include additional beverages beyond water for the price.

Further, there is a menu to the Coco Beach Club restaurant in the cabana. Lunch is available from around 11 am until 3 pm daily, depending on the time your ship is docked.

Thus, you can place an order at anytime with your cabana attendant throughout the day. The attendant will get the order and deliver it to you, so you never need to leave the comforts of your cabana. Of course, you can always choose to walk over and dine at the restaurant as well.

This upscale menu includes appetizers, entrees, and desserts that are complimentary for all guests in the Coco Beach Club. Upgraded options like steak and Bahamian lobster are available, as well as the signature Coco Lobster Sandwich.

This crispy, coconut-crusted lobster is served on a brioche bun with avocado relish, pineapple salsa, and a side of truffle fries. It tastes as good as it sounds!

Of course, there is also lighter fare on the menu, like shrimp cocktail, ceviche, and Caesar salad. So, feel free to order as little or as much as you’d like. If you are a larger group, it probably makes sense to order a few appetizers to share, an individual entrée, and some dessert if you still have any room.

Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas Pricing

As mentioned previously, the pricing for these Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas is per cabana, not per person. Further, the pricing is dynamic which means it can fluctuate based on cruise ship, time of year, and current promotions run by the cruise line.

Our day in the Coco Beach Club Floating Cabanas was compliments of Royal Caribbean. However, for a few of our upcoming sailings, the price is $1699. This price is for full day use of the cabana and all the Club amenities for up to 8 guests.

Space is limited, so these upgraded cabanas may sell out. If you have your heart set on one, it is a good idea to book early. Remember, you can always cancel if your plans change.

For comparative pricing, a Beach Cabana in the Coco Beach Club costs $1299-1399. The only difference is that these cabanas are located on the beach instead of over the water. The Coco Beach Club day passes have started to trend up recently with our newest cruise booking being $188.99!

If you start to run the numbers, a floating cabana might not seem like a bad investment. A group of 8 people each purchasing a Coco Beach Club pass will run you $1511.92 at current pricing, and this doesn’t even include a cabana!

Overall, the decision to upgrade to a cabana is a personal choice. This should be based on how much you are willing to pay for this exclusive and private day ashore. Though, we can confirm that they are pretty awesome.
