Amplified Oasis of the Seas Restaurant Guide With Menus

Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s original game changer, received a major update near the end of 2019. The newly amplified Oasis of the Seas is now even bolder and fresher than before with a number of enhancements. Some of these additions include new dining venues and food options. So, we are just back from a holiday sailing on this ship and have put together this Amplified Oasis of the Seas Restaurant Guide with menus.

Amplified Oasis of the Seas Restaurant Guide: Complimentary Venues

There are several dining options that are included in your cruise fare with Royal Caribbean. These include the main dining room, the popular Windjammer buffet, and several other casual options. With so many great offerings, you certainly do not have to pay extra for dining (if you don’t want to).

If you are staying in a suite, you will also have access to the exclusive restaurant, Coastal Kitchen, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Main Dining Room (Decks 3, 4, and 5)

The 3-story main dining room on the Amplified Oasis of the Seas offers the traditional cruise dining experience with first seating at 5:30 pm and second seating at 8 pm.

Cruisers can also opt for My Time Dining which is available from 6:30 pm to 9 pm daily. Currently, My Time Dining is available for vaccinated parties only.

The MDR also serves breakfast most mornings from around 7:30/8 am to 9/9:30 am and lunch on sea days from around 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.

Regardless of whether you opt for traditional dining or My Time Dining, the dinner menus are the same. These options do rotate each evening, with a set list of Classics dishes available every night.

On a traditional 7-night cruise, there will be two formal nights with “lobster night” taking place on the second formal night.

The order of the menus and when these formal nights occur vary based on the ports of call. Below is the list of menus from our recent 7-night Thanksgiving sailing on Oasis of the Seas.

If you are looking for the specific menu rotation on your sailing, check the Royal Caribbean app for all the details.

A relatively new casual offering on Royal Caribbean ships, El Loco Fresh offers tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos with a custom salsa bar. This Mexican venue is open midday for lunch starting around 11:30 am and remaining open until 5-7 pm depending on ports of call.

This quick-service station is the perfect spot to grab some snacks while lounging near the pool and is a another great alternative to the Windjammer buffet.

Soft Serve Ice Cream (Deck 15)

In addition to all the other snacks you can enjoy around the ship, there is also the poolside ice cream station. Here, you can grab soft serve selections throughout the day from 11:30 am to 7 pm.

Of note, you can also get a scoop at the Sugar Beach ice cream window on the Boardwalk, but these selections will cost you extra money.

Windjammer Marketplace (Deck 16)

If you have cruised on Royal Caribbean before, then you are very familiar with the Windjammer Marketplace. This casual, complimentary buffet is open most of the day. The Windjammer typically serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

However, since COVID and reduced capacities, the Windjammer has not been open for dinner on most sailings. Our Thanksgiving week sailing was at approximately 70% capacity, so the Windjammer was actually open for dinner.

For breakfast (approximately 7 to 11 am), you can find your typical selections including fruits, breakfast pastries, cereals, and hot menu items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage.

During lunch (approximately 11:30 am to 3 pm), you will find a selection of salads, cold cuts and sandwiches, grilled items, and other hot dishes which vary slightly each day of the cruise.

For dinner, you can expect a variety of different protein options, along with similar stations that are also open during lunch.

On our sailing, the Windjammer was open for dinner from 6 to 9 pm with nightly themes. These themes included American Classics, as well as Flavors of India, the Caribbean, Italy, Spain, and more.

Amplified Oasis of the Seas Restaurant Guide: Specialty Restaurants

While Royal Caribbean does offer a number of complimentary dining venues, its cruise ships also feature a number of specialty restaurants. These restaurants do all have up-charges; though, they make for a special night out during your cruise.

If you plan to dine at a few of these venues, the Unlimited Dining Plan is a good value. The only downside to this plan is that you can not make your dining reservations pre-cruise; you can only do so once onboard the ship.

Located in Central Park on Oasis of the Seas, Giovanni’s Table offers an upscale Italian dining experience. With housemade pastas and classics like eggplant parmigiana or ossobuco, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

While we do like the more casual Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen found on Odyssey of the Seas, this restaurant still serves up a delicious meal.

Portside BBQ (Deck 15)

Portside BBQ is a new Amplified Oasis of the Seas restaurant. This new addition gets two thumbs up from us. Portside BBQ is a quick service venue serving all your barbecue favorites with a side of live country music.

Located on the pool deck, this casual eatery is an up-charge. Though, we think the small a la carte prices are well worth it.

With choices like St. Louis ribs, smoked turkey, pulled pork, mac n cheese, and cornbread, how could you not want to try this new venue?

Portside BBQ is open daily for dinner from 4/5 pm to 9 pm and on select days for lunch from about 12 to 3 pm.
