Disney Dream Restaurants Guide With Menus

Disney Cruise Line’s third ship, and first of its class, the Disney Dream, is currently sailing Bahamian itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale. We recently returned from a 4-night sailing on this ship and have put together this Disney Dream Restaurants Guide so you can explore what is available onboard!

Complimentary Disney Dream Restaurants

Several dining options are included in your cruise fare onboard Disney Dream. This includes the three main dining rooms, Cabana’s buffet, and a few other casual dining options. With many options available, there is no need to pay any extra for dining onboard if you don’t want to!

Disney’s Rotational Dining Concept

One of the unique features of all five Disney Cruise Line ships is the exclusive rotational dining concept, which adds an element of variety to your dining experience. When booking their stateroom, guests are assigned a dining time of either early seating (5:45 pm) or late seating (8:15 pm). If your preferred time was not available at the time of booking, there is a waitlist available, as well as a dining help desk on cruise embarkation day that may be able to assist in changing the time.

Disney Dream

When it comes time for dinner, guests will rotate each night between the three complimentary main dining venues on Disney Dream. On sailings longer than 3 nights, guests will repeat restaurants. Don’t worry about the repetition, though; the menu and entertainment will be different the second time around.

Not only do the guests rotate between venues, so do the waitstaff and table number. This ensures that the waitstaff really gets to know their guests and preferences during the voyage. Once onboard the ship, guests can check their Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to find their dining rotation, time, and table number.

Animator’s Palate (Deck 3)

Animator’s Palate is one of three complimentary main dining rooms on Disney Dream. This venue showcases storytelling, with decor of paint brushes, character sketches, and models of your most beloved Disney characters, immersing guests into an animation studio.

Undersea Magic is the entertainment provided during your dinner. Finding Nemo characters comes to life on screens via digital animation and puppetry. You may even have a chance to talk to everyone’s favorite dude, Crush!

Unfortunately, on our sailing, we had the secondary menu, so we didn’t get to indulge in the famous black truffle pasta purseittes, but we did enjoy the tuna sashimi and the beef wellington.

Royal Palace (Deck 3)

The second of three main dining rooms onboard Disney Dream is Royal Palace. With its doors right off the main atrium, guests dine like royalty surrounded by nods to classic Disney princess films such as Beauty and the Beast. Gold hues, giant chandeliers, and murals of your favorite princesses make guests feel like they are in the middle of the story.

This French-inspired menu is the most upscale of the three and, personally, my favorite menu onboard! We dined here on our second night, enjoying the escargot, rack of lamb, French onion soup, and creme brulee.

Unlike Animator’s Palate, no entertainment is provided at this venue.

Royal Palace is open for breakfast and lunch daily for guests who prefer a sit-down dining experience versus the buffet. Breakfast options include standard fares such as omelets, waffles, and eggs. Lunch service in Royal Palace works like dinner service, including three courses of options as well as beverages. However, breakfast and lunch do not have table or staff assignments; instead, they work on a first-come, first-served basis.

Enchanted Garden (Deck 2)

Finally, we’ve reached the last complimentary main dining room onboard Disney Dream – Enchanted Garden. Inspired by the Gardens of Versailles, color-changing glass ceiling lights make guests feel as though they are in an outdoor garden, with a large fountain at the center of the venue (with a little Mickey Mouse, of course).

This menu features lighter fare. We dined here on the first night of our cruise, and we enjoyed the ahi tuna, sea scallops, and sea bass.

We later returned to this restaurant for the cruise line’s signature Pirate Night, which features a unique menu with Caribbean-inspired selections.

Flo’s Cafe (Deck 11)

Inspired by Pixar’s Cars, Flo’s Cafe is a food hall-style eatery on the pool deck open for lunch and dinner. Ramone’s Cantina, newly added during Disney Dream’s October 2024 dry dock, join the three previous food stalls. These four stalls within Flo’s Cafe cater to everyone’s needs. All stalls are open during lunch hours, while at least one rotating stall stays open later as a dinner option.

  • Luigi’s Pizza – serving classic cheese, pepperoni, and a rotating selection of other pizzas
  • Tow Mater’s Grill – serving chicken tenders, hot dogs, burgers, and fries
  • NEW Ramone’s Cantina – serving build-your-own tacos and bowls
  • Filmore’s Favorites – serving specialty sandwiches, salads, and wraps

NEW: Ramone’s Cantina allows guests to fill tacos and bowls with seasoned beef, chicken, rice, beans, or fajita vegetables. Toppings include guacamole, salsa, sour cream, queso fresco, and Mexican cheese blend. This is very similar to Donald’s Cantina found on Disney Wish.

Eye Scream (Deck 11)

Everyone’s favorite one-eyed monster, Mike Wazowski from Disney’s Monsters, Inc., is serving up all-you-can-enjoy soft-serve ice cream! Eye Scream always offers vanilla and chocolate, with additional rotating flavors such as strawberry or banana.

Cabanas (Deck 11)

Cabanas is the buffet onboard Disney Dream. The boardwalk decor brings guests to the beach, with surfboards lining the buffet area—they even have five sandcastles representing the five Disney theme park castles! A 30-foot Finding Nemo-inspired tile mosaic lines the buffet entrance from the elevator.

Unlike other cruise line buffets, Cabanas is open for breakfast and lunch but is closed for dinner.

Guests can enjoy standard American breakfast options such as hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, waffles, yogurts, and fruits. For lunch, any seafood lover should make their way to the unlimited peel-and-eat shrimp and crab legs, while others can find lunch offerings of salads, burgers, mac and cheese, chicken, and a rotating international cuisine section.

Room Service

One standout feature of Disney Cruise Line is its complimentary room service, which is included in the cruise fare and offered 24 hours a day.

Guests can request coffee, pastries, cereal, and fruits by door hanger for breakfast. The all-day menu includes items such as chicken wings, pizzas, and burgers. Be sure to ask about the off-menu Mickey Ice Cream Bars! Additionally, room service also has Smucker’s Uncrustables off-menu. This has come in handy a few times for our sometimes-picky son.

Specialty Restaurants on Disney Dream

While Disney Cruise Line does not offer as many specialty restaurants as other cruise lines, there are some dining venues onboard Disney Dream that you should consider if you are looking for an elevated dining experience.

These venues have an additional charge associated with them, and two require advanced reservations through the Disney Cruise website in advance. For cruisers unable to make reservations before departure, there is a dining desk on embarkation day to check for availability.

Palo (Deck 12)

Palo is one of two adults-only dining venues on Disney Dream. Guests must be 18 years of age or older, and this venue requires advanced reservations. Palo is available for brunch on select days and dinner nightly. Brunch is a set price of $50 per person with an all-you-can-eat menu, while dinner offers cruisers a 4-course prix-fixe menu for $50 per person or an a la carte menu. Additionally, Palo does have a dress code.

Gold, deep reds, and dark wood set the tone for the decor. Large paintings and wine displays cover the walls, and be sure to get the story on the chandelier in the check-in area.

Palo’s menu is inspired by Northern Italian cuisine. Brunch features items such as wood-fired pizzas, elegant egg dishes, and the famous parmesan-crusted chicken breast with risotto. Dinner takes elegance a step further with offerings such as house-made butternut squash agnolotti, calamari, Dover sole, and seared scallops. Be sure to order the chocolate souffle at the beginning of your meal, as it does take a while to cook.

Remy (Deck 12)

The most luxurious dining experience onboard Disney Dream is Remy. This French-inspired menu was crafted by Scott Hummel, an award-winning chef from Disney World’s Victoria and Albert’s, assisted by 3-star Michelin chef Chef Arnaud.

Remy offers dinner nightly and brunch on longer sailings. Dinner costs $135 per person, and there are two menu experiences to choose from. Each meal begins with a complimentary champagne. Additional wine pairing enhancements are also available. Remy’s menu offerings are a bit more adventurous, including options such as toothfish, langoustines, and wagyu beef.

A 5-course dessert experience is also offered at Remy on select days, costing $65 per person.

Semi-formal to formal dress is required at Remy.

Pub 687 (Deck 4)

Pub 687 is located within the District, being the perfect place to catch a sports game. Cherry wood decor gives English pub vibes, with high-top tables, bar stools, and couches for lounging.

Pub 687 is a popular spot for trivia and crafts and transforms into an adults-only venue after 9 p.m. For an upcharge, a small selection of bar food options, including chicken wings, chips and dips, pretzels, and sliders, is available.

Vanellope’s Sweets (Deck 11)

For cruisers with a sweet tooth craving that Eye Scream can’t satisfy, look no further than the upcharge venue of Vanellope’s Sweets. Step into the game of Sugar Rush from Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph, where you’ll find specialty gelatos, cookies, cupcakes, and more. Souvenir options and options to create your own sundaes are available as well.

Frozone’s Treats (Deck 11)

Located next to Eye Scream is Frozone’s Treats. Here, one of our favorite superheroes from The Incredibles serves smoothies and the famous Dole Whip dessert for an additional cost.
