Carnival Glory Returns to Service With Enhancements Following Dry Dock
Carnival Glory returns to service with enhancements following a 21-day dry dock. The ship set sail from Barcelona on a 14-day Carnival Journeys transatlantic cruise to her new homeport of Port Canaveral, FL. While guests embarked, Captain Luca Cherchi was joined on board by Barcelona port officials for a plaque exchange that marked the ship’s special visit.
Over the last three weeks, the ship received several updates, including a new casino layout and the addition of a non-smoking casino area. Additionally, the ship received refreshed décor and furnishings across all public areas and a newly added Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. This popular venue expanding across the Carnival fleet honors military veterans and active-duty service members.
There was also the addition of a Dreams Photography Studio and upgrades to the ship’s spa. For younger cruisers, Camp Ocean was redesigned with the addition of a large video wall to enhance the Space Cruisers program. This program includes curriculum developed in partnership with Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The ship’s Warehouse video arcade was refreshed as well.
Carnival Glory Sailings from Port Canaveral
On May 2nd, Carnival Glory will join Carnival Freedom, Carnival Vista, and Mardi Gras in Port Canaveral. She will offer three- and four-day itineraries visiting The Bahamas, including Nassau, Freeport, Princess Cays, and Bimini.
Carnival Liberty is repositioning from Port Canaveral to New Orleans and will arrive there on May 6.
