In a recent announcement on its website, Princess Cruises informs guests of further delays in the restart of cruising in Japan.
Citing continued uncertainty of port access determined by the government and port authorities, as well as ongoing international travel restrictions, Princess has cancelled more cruises. This time around, the cruise line has cancelled all Diamond Princess Japan cruises through June 9, 2022.
While Princess Cruises continues to work with government agencies and port authorities to finalize the return to cruising in this region of the world, guests impacted by the recent cancellations have three options.
Option 1: Princess Cruises will move guests to an equivalent cruise. The rebooking will protect the guests’ current fares, incentives, and promotions in the case the new cruise fare is higher. This is the default offer.
For a list of replacement voyages, see below.
Option 2: Guests can receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) to sail with the cruise line again. Guests can use this FCC on any voyage booked by December 31, 2022 for a sail date by June 30, 2023.
Any money paid to Princess Cruises in excess of the cruise fare, for items such as EZAir, hotel packages, or shore excursions, will be refunded to the original form of payment.
Option 3: Guests can receive a full refund to their original form of payment.
Guests must submit their requests by March 7th or they will automatically be moved to a replacement voyage.
