Guide to Parking at the Miami Cruise Port (2026)
First and foremost, if you are driving to the port, be prepared for unexpected delays. Don’t cut your arrival too close to final boarding time. In fact, we always recommend that those who fly in arrive a day early.
That advice also holds true for driving, especially if you have driven from far away. The relief of stress knowing that you have arrived and are an easy shuttle ride to the port is worth it. Being rested prepares you for enjoying every moment of your cruise.
As one of the world’s largest and busiest cruise ports, PortMiami offers a variety of parking spaces paired with the nearest cruise terminal, eliminating long walks from the car to the terminal. There are also third-party lots you may wish to consider. Here, we’re breaking down the parking options including price, location, and convenience to help you decide which is right for your travel party.
Parking at the Port of Miami
For many, parking right at the port makes everything simpler. This choice takes away the time and stress of researching and comparing other options. Just take note of your cruise line and find the garage that provides parking for that terminal.
The Port of Miami has excellent signage directing you to your appropriate cruise terminal. You should also check your cruise documents or website to see where your cruise ship will dock at the port before your embarkation day.
PortMiami has made it simple to know which parking option is closest to the cruise terminal where your ship departs. Most of these parking facilities are in garages, but the overflow lots have uncovered parking. Here is a list of the current parking areas and their matching cruise brands.

- Terminal A – multi-level garage A (Royal Caribbean)
- Terminal B – multi-level garage B (Norwegian Cruise Line)

- Terminal E – surface lot E (Carnival Corporation)
- Terminal F – multi-level garage G (Carnival Cruise Line)

- Terminal J – multi-level garage J (small vessels and luxury cruise ships)
- Garage K – general and overflow lot

Price: The PortMiami parking rates are $25 or $35 per day, depending on the terminal. Parking lot E has an outside lot for oversized vehicles, which costs $25 per space. If your rig takes up two spaces, you will pay $50. Credit cards and major U.S. Traveler’s Checks are accepted as payment, debit cards are not.
Location: The port’s address is 1015 N. America Way, Miami, FL 33132. Once you arrive onto Dodge Island, where the port is located, follow the signs for your specific terminal/parking area.
Shuttle: Not needed.
Premier Cruise Parking
Premier Cruise Parking is located at the Met 3 parking garage in downtown Miami’s business district, two miles away from PortMiami. It welcomes passengers sailing on the following cruise lines: Azamara, Carnival, Celebrity, Costa, Crystal, Disney, MSC, Norwegian, Oceania, and Regent Seven Seas.
Price: Self-parking starts at $10.50 per day. Valet parking is also available for a higher fee. All major credit cards are accepted, and parking must be paid in full at the time of reservation. If you have an oversized vehicle, be aware that the garage clearance is 7 feet and vehicles that take up more than one parking space may be subject to additional charges.
Location: Met 3 Parking Garage: 250 SE 3rd Avenue, Miami, FL 33131
Shuttle: Premier Cruise Parking offers continuous free roundtrip shuttle service to the port every 25 to 30 minutes on cruise days. Disembarkation shuttles run from 7:30 am to 10:45 am from the port. Embarkation shuttles run from 10:45 am to 3:15 pm to the port. The garage closes at 3:30 pm.
Per the county ordinance, shuttles can accommodate a maximum of four people per reserved vehicle space.
Safe Cruise Parking
Safe Cruise Parking is located in downtown Miami, two miles from the cruise port. The facility’s garage is secured 24/7 with on-site security personnel.
Price: Parking costs $13.95 per day, with complimentary shuttle service for up to five people. If you have more than five people, each additional person must pay $10 each for shuttle service. You can use code ‘SAVE10’ for 10 percent off.
Location: 189 NE Second Street, Miami, FL 33130 – the garage is marked as the College Station garage
Shuttle: Safe Cruise Parking provides included roundtrip shuttle service for up to five people per reserved vehicle space. Shuttles run continuously every 15 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic at the port. The first shuttle from the port back to the garage starts at 7:30 am. The first shuttle to the cruise port from the garage departs just before 8 am.
We Park in Miami
We Park in Miami is an open-air lot located in downtown Miami, just two miles from the cruise port. The facility features 24/7 security and surveillance and EV charging stations.
Price: Parking starts at $9.95 per day, with included shuttle service for up to four people. Additional people cannot be accommodated. If you have an oversized vehicle, you need to make an oversized reservation by calling or emailing We Park in Miami.
Location: 425 NE 13th St, Miami, FL 33130
Shuttle: For embarkation, shuttles run from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Upon disembarkation, shuttles run from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. Shuttle wait times can vary depending on things like traffic, cruise schedules, and weather.
Hotel Parking
In addition to the onsite and off-site parking lots, many hotels near the Miami cruise port offer packages that include parking at the hotel for the duration of your cruise with an included shuttle service to the port.
Depending on the hotel, proximity, and any loyalty status you might have with the hotel brand, prices will vary.
If you’re still looking for an alternative parking option, some hotels do allow cruisers to park without a stay. Hotels that offer this option often use a third-party reservation system; just search for long-term hotel parking. Do your homework before reserving this option, as some have cancellation fees.
Things to Keep in Mind: Parking at PortMiami or Elsewhere
- Determine the value of your time. Remember that you are here for a cruise. Do you want to spend hours figuring out parking alternatives to save a few bucks?
- Check out reviews of the parking lots, shuttles, or car services that you are considering.
- If you need a shuttle to the cruise port, be sure that the shuttle service can carry all of your luggage.
- Allow plenty of time for taking a shuttle or other transportation to the Port of Miami.
- Check your cruise line to see if they offer shuttles to and from the airport if you have chosen to park near there.
- Drop off your passengers and all luggage at your designated cruise terminal before parking your vehicle.
- Make note of where you parked. Grab a business card from the attendant at a remote lot. You may need to call for the shuttle when you get back. Take a photo of the nearest sign or landmark.
- Arrive a day early so you aren’t exhausted from driving long distances.
- If you park at a surface lot, put a sun blocker in your windshield to protect your vehicle from the scorching sun.
