Disney Cruise Line’s new private destination in the Bahamas, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, is set to open on June 6th. Ahead of the first guests arriving, the line has announced some of the menu items that visitors will be able to enjoy during their time there.
Lookout Cay Food
Disney is upping the game when it comes to the food offerings at Lookout Cay. Some Bahamian-inspired dishes will be served at the two main barbecue food venues, True-True BBQ and True-True Too BBQ. Serenity Bay BBQ is a third location that will be available at Serenity Bay, which is an adults-only area at Lookout Cay.
These menu items include:
- Bahamian pigeon peas & rice with marinated chicken, oven-baked plantains, and fried okra
- Grilled cheeseburger on a brioche bun with shredded iceberg lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, and pickles with french fries and American coleslaw
- Disney Lookout Cay spiced rotisserie chicken marinated with bay leaves, onion, sweet pepper, lime, thyme, and goat pepper with grilled pineapple and black bean salad
- Plant-based island curry with tofu, cilantro, and potatoes
- Bahamian-style lime marinated grilled snapper with sautéed pickled vegetables and yucca fries
- Grilled BBQ ribs with smoky barbecue sauce, grilled corn, and yucca fries
Freshly-prepared salads and a wide selection of sides will also be available.
Lookout Cay Drinks
There will be a number of bars and places to get drinks at Lookout Cay: Mangroves and Go, Blue Hole Bar, Bow and Ribbon Bar, Watering Hole, Reef and Wreck Bar, and Sandsational Smoothies.
These spots will feature Bahamian-inspired drinks along with classic cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, with select drinks including locally-sourced ingredients. Lookout Cay’s signature cocktail will be the Eleuthera Euphoria (named for the island where Lookout Cay is located). It will consist of rum, pineapple smoothie mix, and DOLE Whip.
Other beverage highlights include the Bahama Brew — cold brew coffee blended with Hawaiian island syrup, cold brew, and coconut soft whip topping — as well as the Butterfly Switcha, a specialty mocktail made with lemonade, butterfly pea jasmine green tea, and a sprinkle of blue edible glitter.
A destination branded reusable coffee tumbler will also be available for purchase (photo above).
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is being built with and will be serviced with sustainable practices in mind. Disney Cruise Line is committed to sending zero waste to the landfill, and will be reducing waste through the use of all reusable serviceware, including using stainless steel cups at food and beverage locations.
