As mega-ship enthusiasts, we have sailed on the largest cruise ships in the world. Recently, we sailed on Carnival Cruise Line’s largest ship Carnival Celebration. During this Caribbean cruise, we opted to stay in a balcony stateroom, our usual cruise cabin preference. How do these accommodations compare to other cruise lines? Well, we break down all the details with our Carnival Celebration balcony cabin review.
Picking a Carnival Celebration Balcony Cabin
Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship offers a variety of room categories. When it comes to selecting the right cabin, cruisers need to consider several factors, including price.
After 60+ cruises, we have become accustomed to the standard features of balcony staterooms. Surprisingly though, a standard balcony cabin on Carnival’s newest ship was considerably less expensive than the competition.
So, we secured a deck 10 midship cabin, cabin 10426. This category 8F balcony is located on the port side close to the midship elevators and stairs, making it easy to access the public spaces. The cabin location is only a few decks away from the hub of the ship on decks 6-8.
Plus, it offered some great ocean views during our cruise.

Inside a Carnival Celebration Balcony Cabin
Layout
According to the Carnival Cruise Line website, this Carnival Celebration Balcony Cabin is 205 square feet, with a 44 square foot balcony.
Immediately upon entering the room, the bathroom was to the right and the closet was to the left. Continuing past the bathroom and closet, the desk was to the left and the loveseat was to the right.
The bed in our balcony cabin on Carnival Celebration was on the forward wall facing aft. The bed was positioned next to the balcony door, which is our preferred layout. The television was also located on the wall opposite from the bed, and there was a very small nightstand of sorts on each side of the bed.
Finally, there is the balcony, which felt larger than the advertised size. The balcony was deep, with plenty of room for two chairs and a small table.
Overall, the cabin felt surprisingly spacious. Although, we did think the finishes and dΓ©cor were rather simplistic.
Bathroom
The bathroom in this Carnival Celebration Balcony Cabin was pretty average sized for a cruise ship bathroom. Yet again, it was rather simplistic when it came to style and dΓ©cor. However, I did like the layout. While most bathrooms are long and narrow, this bathroom was wide and shallow.
Opening the door, the stand-up shower was to our left and the toilet to the right, with the sink directly in front. There were a few shelves for storage off to one side; although, not much counter space. It always helps that we bring an over-the-door shoe organizer to store toiletries and other small items.
The square shower offered a bit more space than the traditional cylinder-style setup. The innovative glass shower door made it easier to get in and out as well. Further, the shower did contain a shampoo and shower gel dispenser.
Closet
Across from the bathroom were the his and her closets. The closet sizes were on par with other cruise lines. Although, we liked the setup with a series of shelves and clothes hangers in each closet. The safe was also located here.
Further, the desk had three additional drawers for extra storage space. This made unpacking our clothes and accessories for this week long cruise much easier.
Main Cabin
Both the desk and loveseat were fairly good-sized. The desk had enough counter space to double as my office and the wifeβs getting ready area. Above the desk were two shelves for storing electronics and other such accessories.
As mentioned previously, there are three drawers here for additional storage, along with the mini-fridge. The desk is also where you will find the majority of outlets in this cabin. There are 4 USB outlets and 3 power outlets.
The vanity area features a mirror and cushioned stool.
In terms of the sofa, it is plenty big for two adults to sit comfortably. It served a duel purpose as a makeshift office and a storage space for souvenirs, beach towels, and the like.
The bed in this Carnival Celebration balcony cabin is closer to the veranda with small shelves that served as nightstands on each side of the bed. Luckily though, there were USB outlets near the bed, one on each side.
The bed provided adequate comfort during our trip. We had no issues falling asleep after our long days and nights on the ship.
Balcony
Lastly, there is the balcony which seemed larger than typical cruise ship balconies. It might have been due to our location, as Deck 10 includes additional rail space when compared to the decks above it.
This Carnival Celebration balcony was deep, with plenty of room for two chairs and a small table. In fact, the balcony probably could have fit sun loungers.
This space was great for watching the ocean views. It also became our place in the afternoon for doing some work in the sun.

Recap of Our Carnival Celebration Balcony Cabin
Our balcony cabin offered an ideal location, plenty of space and storage, and all of the amenities you expect in a standard stateroom. It functioned perfectly for the two of us during our 6-night Western Caribbean cruise. Further, this stateroom category was the perfect mix of size and value.
The room itself felt spacious for a cruise ship cabin, and the balcony was larger than expected making it an added bonus. Our bed was comfortable, and the room was outfitted with all the necessities even if it wasn’t as elegantly appointed as cabins on other cruise lines.
For the price, this accommodation on Carnival Celebration is a great deal. We would certainly book this category again on a future cruise.
For cruisers looking for balcony rooms with more character and charm, the Havana Staterooms might be a good option to consider as well.
