Our Favorites from the Anthem of the Seas Art Collection
GiGi, a 30 foot tall giraffe located outside on the sports deck at the aft of the ship, is created by Jean Francois Fourtou. This over-sized creature, wearing a yellow bathing suit and pink lifesaver, might be the first thing you see when you arrive at the ship.
The mirrored steel sculpture in the Via titled “Eve” is created by artist Richard Hudson. This elegant sculpture adds to the ambiance of this area and makes the perfect backdrop for photos.
Also located near the Via, adorning the aft elevator wall, is the crystal cherry blossoms masterpiece titled “Healing Garden” by Ran Hwang. This vast work of art is certainly a sight to behold.
Carlos Rolon of Dzine’s masterpiece “Constellation Lovers” is displayed in the open staircase near the dining rooms. With delicately hanging crystalized formations, this work of art also makes our list of favorites from the Anthem of the Seas art collection.
“Pulse Spiral”, by Rafael Lozano Hemmer, is a grand chandelier with 200 light bulbs that pulses rhythmically to heart beats. You can add your own heart beat to this mix by placing your hands on the metal plate.
The interactive “smart art” located outside of Café Two 70 is called “Three Faces”. This work created by Brian Bress is comprised of three animated video screens that come to life before your eyes.
Katja Loher’s “Where is the Center of the Sea?” is another interactive art piece found on deck 4 between the Music Hall and Royal Theater. Using her signature bubbles, she creatures a choreographed video.
The “smart art” by James Clar titled “Sustained Fireworks” is a visual spectacle featuring a never-ending LED fireworks display. The vibrant colors and grandness of the piece make it another one of our favorites in the Anthem of the Seas art collection.
Located across from “Sustained Fireworks” is Silvia Iorio’s masterpiece called “Odysseia”. This interactive art features LED light switches displaying inspirational words such as believe, love, dream, and inspire.
Lastly, our favorite of the Anthem of the Seas art collection has to be the elevator art by Deming Harriman. Continuing the digital imagery also located in the elevators on Quantum of the Seas, this series is titled “Untamed Vacation” and features exotic animals dressed in human attire.
