It has been an ongoing cruise tradition for us to “Drink Around the Ship”, making it a point to sample every bar menu and get at LEAST one drink at every bar on our cruise ship. Our recent 5-night Anthem of the Seas cruise was no different except that we would only have 5 days to complete the task instead of a full week. Over the course of our cruise, we made the rounds to all the Anthem of the Seas Bars.
The Anthem of the Seas Bars provide plenty of drink options for all types of travelers. From Royal Caribbean favorites like the Schooner Bar and Boleros, to Quantum class firsts at sea like Michael’s Genuine Pub and the Bionic Bar, there are plenty of drinks to be had. With many bars having their own unique decor and themed menu, why not try them all? So, in the name of research, we set off to sample each bar and drink menu.
With so many bars and only 5 days, how would we get this feat accomplished? Follow us as we travel to all the Anthem of the Seas Bars during our “Drink Around the Ship” extravaganza! See the complete menus from all the Anthem of the Seas Bars and plenty of photos of all the craft cocktails.
Anthem of the Seas Bars- A Complete Guide
The Music Hall
The Music Hall, located on Deck 3 and 4, is one of the happening nighttime hot spots. Themed in Rock n Roll decor, The Music Hall offers 2 bars, one on each level, serving up musically inspired cocktails that you can sip while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Tribute bands, nightly parties, or while playing a game of pool.
Some of our favorite drinks here at the Music Hall included Trane and Metalliquor. We also sampled Whiskey in Jar, Titus Andronicus, and Tribute. DB enjoyed the Whiskey in a Jar as well.
Also located on deck 3 is the Casino Royale. While offering just a typical bar menu, don’t forget to grab a drink here too while playing some slots or blackjack.
Boleros
Boleros, a Royal Caribbean staple, is located on Deck 4 in the Royal Esplanade. Boleros is themed appropriately with Latin flavor. Here, you can enjoy a drink while listening to live Salsa music.
During our “drink around the ship”, we ordered the Grand Sangria and a Margarita El Picadura. Both drinks were quite tasty.
Michael’s Genuine Pub
Next up on our tour of the Anthem of the Seas Bars, is Michael’s Genuine Pub, also located on Deck 4. This venue offers Michael Schwartz’s craft beer along with some other noteworthy cocktails. While at this venue, you can also sample some a la carte pub appetizers or desserts for $3-5 or a meal for $12.50.
During the course of the week, DB made it a point to sample some of the beers on the menu, while I tried out the Cabarete.
Don’t forget to also grab a few drinks while in the Royal Theater for your nightly entertainment.
Heading up another deck, Deck 5 offers a vast array of bar options including the Schooner Bar, Vintages, The Bionic Bar, and Two70.
Two70
Two70 is another happening daytime and nighttime spot on Anthem of the Seas. During the day, this venue functions as a living room of sorts where you can relax and watch the 270′ view of the ocean, catch a robo show, dine on treats from the Cafe, or indulge in some of the adult beverages at the bar. At night, this venue transforms into a state of the art production featuring Vistarama displays and Spectra’s Cabaret.
Featuring many tasty cocktails, we enjoyed the Cotton Canditini, High Wired, Kaleidoscope, and Crescendo during the course of the week.

Vintages
Vintages, another Royal Caribbean staple, is a bar for all wine lovers. Located in the Via, Vintages is a great spot to relax and grab a few appetizers that you can purchase from an a la carte Jamie’s Italian menu while sipping your glass of wine.
We are not big wine connoisseurs, so a simple glass of moscato for me and a pinot noir for DB. Do be mindful that if you are using a drink package here, many of the wine selections are over the $13 covered amount (Ultimate and Premium) or $8 covered amount (Select). If you do purchase a glass of wine that is over the dollar amount, you will only need to pay the difference in price.

The Bionic Bar
Exiting the Via, The Bionic Bar is the next bar you will encounter during your tour of the Anthem of the Seas Bars. This new and innovative bar design actually has robots that make and serve your drinks. Here, you order your drink on a tablet and can choose from one of the “favorites” or create your own cocktail.
For drinks, I ordered the Infinity, and DB ordered Don’s Delight. The Bionic Bar is an overall unique experience and something you must try at least once while sailing on Anthem of the Seas.

The Schooner Bar
The last of the bars on Deck 5 is another Royal Caribbean favorite, The Schooner Bar. At this nautically inspired venue, you can enjoy timeless specialty cocktails while listening to live piano music or partaking in other cruise director staff activities such as trivia.
During our visit to the Schooner Bar, I enjoyed a Pedro Collins and DB a sidecar while listening to piano music.

Heading all the way up to Deck 14 now, you have your more casual watering holes including the Pool Bar, the Sky Bar, and the Sunshine Bar. After making your way up all those stairs, you are certainly going to need a drink!
The Pool Bar
The Pool Bar is located adjacent to the indoor pool and offers your classic Quenchers at Sea Menu. This is the perfect spot to grab yourself a frozen cocktail while laying poolside during the day.
While chilling near the pool bar, I enjoyed a California Cooler, and DB ordered one of his favorites, a Long Island Iced Tea.
The Sky Bar
The Sky Bar is located outside on deck 14 near the outdoor pool and directly below the North Star Bar. The Sky Bar offers the same menu as the Pool Bar but is a great outdoor option to soak up the sun, weather permitting.
We enjoyed 2 Ultimate Mai Tais during sail away at the Sky Bar.
The Sunshine Bar
Also located on Deck 14, in the Solarium, is the Sunshine Bar. This bar serves up your classic poolside drinks but also offers smoothies that are covered in the Ultimate and Royal Replenish drink packages.
While at the Sunshine Bar, we ordered a frozen Pina Colada and a Miami Vice.

Remember, there is a bar also located in the Windjammer for your convenience while dining.
The North Star Bar
Last but not least on this “drink around the ship” extravaganza of all the Anthem of the Seas Bars is the North Star Bar. This bar is located on Deck 15 and offers truly amazing views. It is the perfect pit-stop following your North Star ride.
Again, it is another great place to enjoy those frozen cocktails that you dream about when back on land. Our favorites are the Pina Colada and Miami Vice.
Phew! I know it seems like a pretty exhausting trip around the ship in just 5 days, but you too can do it! Testing out all the great cocktails and specialty menus at the Anthem of the Seas Bars should make your list of things to do on this great ship.
Of note, in addition to all the other aforementioned selections, you can also choose from select beers at places like the Seaplex Dog House, the Cafe at Two70, and Sorrento’s.
Cheers to having a fabulous time on your next cruise on Anthem of the Seas!

any place to smoke a cigar and have a drink? thanks
DB
There is no Cigar Bar on Anthem of the Seas. The only place would be the designated outdoor smoking areas on the ship.

Hi — I’m going on this exact trip in a few months so I’m devouring all of your comments, thank you! I thought I heard about an Ice Bar where everything is made of ice and you need to borrow fur coats. Is that on the Anthem? Thanks.
Karl
That bar is on NCL’s Breakway.
Tracy
Thank you! I wasn’t quite sure where I read about that.
