Drinks of the Day on Adventure of the Seas
Avid cruisers know that one of the staples of a Royal Caribbean cruise is enjoying a refreshing drink of the day (DOTD).
For those new to cruising, each day on your Royal Caribbean cruise, the drink of the day is a specialty drink that is featured at all bars. For a discounted price, travelers can enjoy the signature drink in a souvenir cup that is theirs to keep. Don’t worry, you can also get the drink of the day in a regular glass too, especially if you have a drink package.
During our recent trip on Adventure of the Seas, we made it a point to try the specialty drink each day during our week long cruise. The DOTD rotation varies across the fleet, but if you are a loyal Royal cruiser then most of these probably look familiar to you.
In this post, we chronologically give you our drink of the day selections during our Adventure of the Seas cruise, complete with Royal Caribbean’s drink descriptions. Warning: This post may make you thirsty!
Day 1- Captain’s Bahama Mama
“An incredibly refreshing blend of orange and pineapple juices, hand shaken to combine the subtle hints of vanilla and caramelized sugar found in Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, topped with a sweet splash of grenadine”

Day 2- Pirate’s Punch

Day 3- Caribbean Tea
“A perfect mix of Smirnoff vodka, Bacardi Superior rum, gin, sweet blue curacao, and tangy sweet & sour, topped with Sprite, served on the rocks”
Also, pictured below are 2 drinks off the specialty menu at the Schooner Bar, the Pedro Collins and Lavender Daiquiri.

Day 4- Melon Margarita
“For the perfect balance of tart and sweet flavors, we take Jose Cuervo Gold tequila, mix it with triple sec, Midori Melon liqueur, and a splash of sweet & sour”
Also pictured is the special cruise drink during our sailing on Adventure of the Seas, the Jack Danny Hurricane. Royal Caribbean’s attempt to make light of Hurricane Danny disrupting our itinerary for the week, I guess. “A mighty mix of Jack Daniels Tennessee whiskey, Tuaca Vanilla liqueur, triple sec, orange juice, and pineapple juice finished with a splash of grenadine and a dash of Angostura bitters”

Day 5- Pirate’s Hurricane
“A delicious blend of tropical juices, peach schnapps, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, and Smirnoff vodka, shaken and strained over ice, topped with Sprite”

Day 6- Pom Tree Margarita
“A tasty pomegranate twist on an original Jose Cuervo Gold margarita, hand shaken over ice with a bold blend of Monin Pomegranate, triple sec, and sweet & sour”

Day 7- Caribbean Sunshine
“An incredibly refreshing citrus blast of Smirnoff vodka, triple sec, orange juice, and Sprite. It’s sunshine in a glass.”

All of these drinks were quite tasty of course, but if we had to go out on a limb and choose our favorite, it would probably be the Pirate’s Punch.
These drinks of the day were selling for $10 in a souvenir glass during our sailing on Adventure of the Seas. Luckily, the drinks of the day are included in the Premium and Ultimate beverage packages in a non-souvenir glass. Not convinced yet that a beverage package is right for you? Then, you may want to check out our previous post analyzing Royal Caribbean’s drink packages.
So, now that you have read our post, it’s time to grab yourself a drink and pretend you are sitting poolside in the warm Caribbean sun!
