Royal Caribbean Group’s private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay, welcomed its first guests from Celebrity Cruises this week. Visitors arrived aboard Celebrity Reflection on Monday, April 22nd and on Celebrity Beyond today, April 23rd. The private destination is used by sister brand Royal Caribbean International, and is part of Celebrity’s new short Caribbean itineraries.
“Guest feedback inspired the new shorter Caribbean itineraries, designed to offer year-round opportunities to unwind with loved ones,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises. “Introducing Perfect Day at CocoCay presents new experiences for Celebrity guests seeking quick beach getaway escapes close to home.”
Perfect Day at CocoCay includes a new adults-only beachfront area called Hideaway Beach, complete with a DJ, four bars, and island-inspired eateries.
There’s also Coco Beach Club, which offers a beachfront infinity pool, top-notch dining, and the first overwater cabanas in the Bahamas complete with overwater hammocks and slides into the ocean. Day passes to Coco Beach Club include access to a private beach, the clubhouse, the infinity pool, use of beach chairs and towels, and complimentary dining at the Coco Beach Club restaurant.
Celebrity Reflection and Beyond will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay on five-night western Caribbean sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale. Western Caribbean cruises also include calls to Bimini, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Key West.
