For the third time in 2022, NCL has issued yet another travel advisory today. Yes, Norwegian Cruise Line cancels cruises on another ship. Adding Norwegian Breakaway to the list of cancellations, this pause in operations now impacts 12 out of 17 ships in the fleet.
The first travel advisory came on January 5th, which included cancellations and updates to resumption of service for 8 ships. The ships impacted were Norwegian Pearl, Getaway, Sky, Jade, Star, Sun, Spirit, and Pride of America.
Then, on January 11th, Norwegian Cruise Line added three additional ships to the list. This time, the impacted ships were Norwegian Dawn, Escape, and Joy.
Today, Norwegian Breakaway made the list. Norwegian Breakaway cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 23, 2022 have been cancelled.
The complete list of cancellations is as follows:
- Norwegian Pearl cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 17, 2022
- Dawn cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 18, 2022
- Getaway cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 19, 2022
- Escape cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 22, 2022
- Joy cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 22, 2022
- Breakaway cruises with embarkation dates through and including January 23, 2022
- Sky cruises with embarkation dates through and including February 25, 2022
- Pride of America cruises with embarkation dates through and including February 26, 2022
- Norwegian Jade cruises with embarkation dates through and including March 3, 2022
- Star cruises with embarkation dates through and including March 19, 2022
- Sun cruises with embarkation dates through and including April 19, 2022
- Spirit cruises with embarkation dates through and including April 23, 2022
If your ship is not on this list, it is still sailing as planned.
Refunds for Recently Cancelled Cruises
Guests with a reservation on one of the affected cruises will automatically receive a refund in the original form of payment. For affected reservations paid via a previously issued Future Cruise Credit, guests will receive the full value of the FCC within 7 days.Â
Additionally, guests will receive a 10% off Future Cruise Credit automatically on their account. Guests can use this discount to make a booking any time through January 7, 2023 on any sailing through May 31, 2023. If guests used a previously issued 10% off FCC on this suspended reservation, they will get the FCC returned; however, a new one will not be issued.
