We Just Returned from a Cruise on Margaritaville at Sea Islander - Here's Our Day-By-Day Review

Nearly a year after the passing of singer/songwriter and business mogul Jimmy Buffett’s passing, Margaritaville at Sea is planning to celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day, which is August 30th. The line’s two ships will offer a variety of activities and special merchandise to honor the singer and his legacy.

From August 28th to September 4th, Margaritaville at Sea will offer a “boatload of on-ship opportunities to honor Jimmy, his legacy and the way he lived in the support of others and community – leaving the world a better place.”

During the celebration, all bars on both vessels will serve signature drinks in special commemorative cups. They will include the Mango Sunset Margarita and Caribbean Sandbar, as well as LandShark Lager, Michelob Ultra, and Bud Light.

For every drink sold, one dollar will go to Singing for Change, a nonprofit that Buffett formed in 1995. It supports inclusive, grassroots organizations that inspire personal growth, community integration, and the ideal that together, people can bring about positive change.

Exclusive commemorative merchandise will also be available for sale on both ships, a portion of which will also go towards Singing for Change.

On Jimmy Buffett Day and over Labor Day weekend, Margaritaville at Sea crew members and other team members will participate in a day of service, donating their time to local charitable organizations.
