Sarah Bretz, ContributorLindblad Expeditions and Transcend Cruises have announced a multi-year charter agreement. The initial agreement, which will run through at least 2028, will allow Lindblad to offer European expedition river cruises aboard Transcend Cruises’ luxury newbuild ships.
The two travel companies are developing a series of custom itineraries crafted to provide travelers with the opportunity to embark on journeys that will allow them to venture deeper and further into riverside cities, towns, and villages. Each voyage will be staffed by one of the brand’s veteran Expedition Leaders, several knowledgeable Field Staff, and at least one National Geographic Expert. Staff will guide guests on private tours, exclusive tastings, and more.

For over 50 years, Lindblad Expeditions has explored some of the most iconic waterways including the Peruvian Amazon, the Nile in Egypt, and the United States’ Columbia and Snake Rivers. This partnership will mark the first time that Lindblad has ever offered river expeditions in Europe.
Details of the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions’ first European river season and the chartered vessel will be released in the coming weeks.
