Explora Journeys, the new luxury cruise brand from MSC Group, has announced a partnership with the American Express Cruise Privileges Program. The partnership began globally yesterday, May 23rd.
As the newest partner to join the program, Explora Journeys will provide exclusive cruise program benefits for both Platinum and Centurion American Express cardholders on all voyages made through an American Express Travel Professional or an independent agency.
Explora Journeys will offer the following exclusive amenities for American Express cardholders as part of the program:
- CPP Platinum Amenity: 300 EUR ($325) Journey Experience Credit, One extra Membership Reward point per eligible dollar spent, and an exclusive welcome amenity in suite
- CPP Centurion Amenity: 500 EUR ($543) Journey Experience Credit, One extra Membership Reward point per eligible dollar spent, and an exclusive welcome amenity in suite
The above credits are based on double occupancy. Single occupancy receives 150 EUR ($162) for Platinum and 250 EUR ($271) for Centurion. The extra membership point applies only to bookings made through the Amex call center and online bookings — it doesn’t apply to bookings made through independent agencies.
To celebrate Explora Journeys’ partnership with America Express, the brand is rolling out an exclusive promotion for cardholders from May 23rd to July 31st. During this time, cardholders will enjoy a special offer available in all participating markets, including a unique Journey Experience Credit component. This, when combined with American Express CPP benefits, guarantees more rewards for guests.

Explora Journeys is one of the few cruise lines participating in the American Express Cruise Privileges Program that offers amenities for both Platinum and Centurion card members. Currently, the program includes 15 cruise lines, with Explora Journeys being the latest addition.
American Express global markets activated by this partnership include Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and United States including its territories and possessions.
