As of yesterday, August 1st, Explora Journeys has been taking guests on cruises aboard its first ship, Explora I, for one year. The vessel embarked on her maiden voyage on August 1, 2023.
The anniversary marks a significant milestone for the luxury cruise brand. Explora I has spent the last year sailing from the scenic landscapes of northern Europe to the vibrant cultures of America and the Caribbean, visiting 119 ports in 45 countries. Guests have the chance to experience both popular destination as well as off-the-beaten-path ports. The ship is now exploring the eastern Mediterranean.
“One year ago, we proudly welcomed EXPLORA I, the inaugural gem in our fleet of six luxurious ships, setting out to revolutionize luxury ocean travel,” said Achille Staiano, chief commercial officer of Explora Journeys.
“Designed to evoke the intimacy of a private yacht, EXPLORA I has gracefully journeyed through the vibrant Mediterranean, the majestic Northern Europe, the invigorating coasts of North America and the enchanting shores of the Caribbean. We have received incredibly high levels of satisfaction from the guests that have sailed with us so far which, naturally, we are all delighted to hear. Each journey has allowed our guests to discover the Ocean State of Mind.”
Travelers who make a reservation between August 1-31, 2024 will receive a Journey Experience Credit (onboard credit) of EUR 365 (or 395 USD) per suite on all sailings from August 23, 2024.
Guests on board can join in the celebrations throughout this month with a carefully curated entertainment and luminary program including artists such as Magali Dahan, who was the opening performer aboard Explora I‘s maiden cruise as well as Ben Mills and Francesco Parrino.
Passengers can also enjoy a variety of culinary delights that showcase the ship’s gastronomic journey through the seas of the world, including a signature celebration cocktail, an anniversary brunch at the Emporium Marketplace restaurant, and a unique dessert to mark the occasion.
Explora Journeys’ second ship, Explora II, is scheduled to debut this September. Four additional ships are set to join the fleet by 2028.
