Golden Jubilee Bar (Deck 6)

Located in the Gateway Zone is a brand new bar on Carnival Celebration, the Golden Jubilee Bar. At this lounge, cruisers take a step back to the golden age of cruising. From the dark wood tones and a large central bar, to historical pieces from the cruise line’s history and live classical music, this martini bar was one of our favorite spots on the ship.

The talented and friendly bartenders are always quick to mix up some drinks from the specialty cocktail menu, with new takes on classics like the Harvey Wallbanger, a Golden Sidecar, or the tasty tiramisu martini.

Along with the artifacts from Carnival’s past scattered throughout this lounge, there’s also the Rolls Royce from the now scrapped Carnival Ecstasy positioned around the corner.

Overlooking the digital screens of the Gateway, the Alchemy Bar is located on the portside of Deck 7. Unfortunately, this is not an ideal location, as this also serves as the main walkway for those passing by.

With a signature cocktail menu, the venue is still themed to resemble a 19th century apothecary. From the drink names, to the bartenders’ white coats, this bar has a unique flair.  We highly suggest you have these master mixologists stir up one of the exclusive elixirs, like the Alchemist’s Sidecar, the Cucumber Sunrise, or the Forty is the New Twenty.

The Tides Pool, located completely aft on Deck 16, provides a nice additional space besides the Beach Pool. This pool offers some amazing aft views and is surrounded by several loungers and two whirlpools.

If you are looking for a drink while lounging by this pool, there is the nearby Tides Pool Bar. This bar features a menu with classic drinks like a Bahama Mama or a Tequila Sunrise. Though, the bar itself is rather small.

Most days, the bar is open from 8 am to 8 pm.

Serenity Pool Bar (Deck 18)

Lastly, Deck 18 is home to the massive Serenity Retreat. This adults only space is one of the largest 18+ pool decks we have ever seen. With two whirlpools, one on each side of the ship, the space includes a mix of loungers, day beds, and other seating options.

Central to the Serenity Adults Only retreat is a pool, bar, and the Fresh Creations salad bar. This bar includes its own specialty drink menu, featuring sangria and other refreshing libations ideal for sipping poolside.

We found ourselves spending quite a bit of time here on Carnival Celebration.
