British Cruise Line Introduces New Foodie Excursion in Barcelona

P&O Cruises and Time Out Group — longterm brand partners — have launched a new shore excursion in Barcelona, Spain.

Flavours of Barcelona by Time Out will offer guests on select voyages a foodie exploration of the Mediterranean city, focusing on the newly-opened Time Out Market Barcelona. Guests will visit Time Out Market Barcelona is the vibrant Port Vell area, where they’ll find a selection of Barcelona’s best chefs, restaurateurs, and bars all under one roof.

The space showcases both established and emerging local culinary talents, serving up a taste of the city’s gastronomic scene. During the visit, travelers will have the chance to explore the market and sample a variety of local specialties.

Afterwards, guests will be able to explore the city’s charming Gothic Quarter en route to Barcelona’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia. Next, a relaxing stop at Granja La Pallaresa to enjoy rich drinking chocolate and crispy churros is on the list. From there, passengers are free to explore Barcelona at their leisure.

Time Out is a P&O Cruises Destination Partner, with the company’s global network of local city experts creating content to showcase the best things to do in destinations around the world that P&O visits. As well as this new Barcelona experience, Time Out has previously curated a shore experience in Lisbon, Portugal where visitors can take a Cooking Masterclass at Time Out Market Lisbon before exploring the city.

Time Out’s experts have also compiled recommendations of things to do in cities around the world that P&O visits, including a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) safari in Norway, a Treasure Hunt & Gelato Class in Rome, and an Aerial Tram in St. Lucia.
