Windstar Cruises has announced details on its brand-new upcoming ship Star Seeker, which is set to debut in January 2026.
Star Seeker will feature 112 suites, all but ten that feature full private balconies or a floor-to-ceiling infinity window. The ship will also have five dining options (all included in the cruise fare), a full-service spa, and a fitness center. It’ll also feature a fresh take on the line’s iconic Watersports Platform, which turns the ocean into an infinity pool by letting guests access the sea directly from the ship.
Star Seeker will feature two Horizon Owner’s Suites, a new category for Windstar, at the aft on deck seven. Each comes with a wrap-around balcony and can be combined with adjacent suites for more space.
There will be 12 different accommodation types aboard Star Seeker, many that allow for triple occupancy. The vessel has 72 suites with large verandas, and 30 infinity suites with a window that slides down half-way from the top to create a hybrid window/balcony type of setup.
As on all Windstar ships, there will be no interior cabins on Star Seeker. The vessel’s 10 oceanview suites have plenty of natural light and a view of the ocean, a walk-in mosaic glass shower, and a queen bed that can be converted to twins. All suites include a fully-stocked mini bar and fridge, an interactive TV, a safe, fresh fruit, and a robe and slippers. The four highest suite categories add other amenities such as an Illy espresso machine, canapes service, and fresh flowers.
Star Seeker is currently under construction in Portugal. The maiden voyage will be a transatlantic sailing in early January from Malaga to Miami. After a christening event in Miami, the vessel will sail in the Caribbean before heading to Alaska for the summer. From there, it will sail to Japan to bring back the line’s popular Japan itineraries before heading to southeast Asia.
In early September, Windstar Cruises will announced Star Seeker‘s itineraries publicly and open them for booking. A sister ship for Star Seeker, Star Explorer, is expected to debut in December 2026.
