Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that Norwegian Encore will be undergoing extensive renovations during a two-week dry dock from November 18 to December 2 of this year.

Spice H2O

The ship will be receiving the line’s popular adults-only Spice H2O sundeck, which will be replacing the laser tag arena. The outdoor area will feature a new design and elevated layout by NCL’s longtime design partners Studio Dado. The design will combine the guest-favorite amenities of Spice H2O from the Breakaway Plus-class ships with those from Infinity Beach on the newest Prima-class vessels.

Equipped with multiple hot tubs, eight large daybeds surrounded by cooling pools, and a large bar, Spice H2O will be the perfect outdoor oasis for adults looking for a relaxing escape.

Expanded Specialty Restaurants

The enhancements will also include the expansion of two of Norwegian Cruise Line’s most popular specialty restaurants. Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki will soon offer greater capacity by taking over Los Lobos’ footprint on deck eight and Coco’s on deck six. Additionally, Ocean Blue will be converted to Palomar, which offers elevated Mediterranean seafood cuisine.

The Haven and More Staterooms

Resulting in the growing demand for the three-bedroom suites on Norwegian Joy, Prima, and Viva, Norwegian Encore‘s Premier Owner’s Suites with a Large Balcony in The Haven will be expanded from two bedrooms to three. Additionally, these two suites will include 3.5 bathrooms, a fully-renovated living room, master bedroom, and outdoor furniture, and a new separate dining room. The Haven is NCL’s ship-within-a-ship complex, offering concierge service and a private pool area, restaurant, and bar.

Similar to the recent refurbishment of Norwegian Joy earlier this year, Norwegian Encore will also debut from its dry dock with an additional 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms by repurposing a portion of the ship’s Observation Lounge.

Norwegian Encore Schedule

Once the ship completes the two-week dry dock, it will embark on a 12-day transatlantic voyage from Southampton, England to Miami, Florida. It will then offer seven-day roundtrip sailings to the Caribbean through March 2025 with calls to Puerto Plata, Tortola, St. Thomas, and NCL’s private island Great Stirrup Cay.

For summer 2025, the ship will offer seven-day roundtrip voyages to Alaska from Seattle.
