Royal Caribbean International has announced that it will be constructing a brand-new beach club in Cozumel, Mexico, which is scheduled to open in 2026. It is the brand’s second Royal Beach Club location, following the Royal Beach Club at Paradise Island in the Bahamas. That one is set to open next year.
Royal Beach Club Cozumel Details
Royal Beach Club Cozumel will feature beautiful beaches and views, along with pools that will include swim-up bars and dedicated pools for relaxing and for families. Private cabanas will also be available, and guests can partake in activities including snorkeling and kayaking.
For a taste of Mexico, visitors can indulge at the club’s restaurant and enjoy a tropical cocktail at the bar and lounge — complete with beautiful views. There will also be a street market as well as experiences including cooking classes and tequila tastings.
“The anticipation for what’s next when it comes to Royal Caribbean destinations has only continued to build since we revealed Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas that opens in 2025. Now is the perfect time to announce the next iteration of this collection with Royal Beach Club Cozumel,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. “Cozumel is an incredible destination, and the beach club will perfectly complement all the island has to offer as an experience that combines familiar Royal Caribbean touches with the spirit of Mexico.”
“We are very proud that Royal Caribbean International has chosen Quintana Roo to build Royal Beach Club Cozumel as a new attraction for many of their guests visiting our magical island,” said governor of Quintana Roo Mara Lezama. “My administration will always be committed to partnering and working very closely with the private sector to build modern and sustainable infrastructure and create local jobs for our people.”
Royal Caribbean’s Other Destinations
The Royal Beach Club in Cozumel is just the latest in Royal Caribbean’s lineup of private destinations for its cruise passengers. The brand also has, as mentioned, an upcoming Royal Beach Club in the Bahamas. It also has a private Bahamian island Perfect Day at CocoCay and a private destination in Haiti called Labadee.
