Crystal and Nobu Announce Return of UMI UMA by Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa
The Only Seagoing Specialty Dining Experience by the Michelin-Star Chef is a Guest Favorite
When Crystal Cruises‘ Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony set sail for their inaugural seasons later this year, UMI UMA by Nobu Matsuhisa Restaurant and Sushi Bar returns as well.
UMI UMA is one of Crystal’s award-winning, specialty dining offerings in an elegantly modern setting. Here, dishes are inspired by the exotic array and traditions of the Orient and created by legendary Master Chef Nobuyuki (Nobu) Matsuhisa. Guests will again be able to dine on signature entrees such as Nobu-Style Black Cod, Grilled Chilean Sea Bass, Wagyu Beef Filet Steak, and some of the freshest sushi available at the Sushi Bar.
“It wouldn’t be Crystal without having one of the most popular restaurants UMI UMA back on board when the new Crystal sets sail,” said Senior Vice President Hotel Operations of Crystal Bernie Leypold. “Crystal’s guests have come to know and love the exquisite offerings Chef Nobu has created specifically for UMI UMA and we are so grateful for Crystal to be the only cruise line with a Nobu restaurant at sea.”
Added Master Chef Nobu, “Crystal is known for its award-winning food and beverage program bringing an authentic dining experience with efficient and personalized service, and we are proud to have UMI UMA feature our innovative fusion cuisine, blending traditional Japanese dishes with Peruvian ingredients.”
Guests can enjoy one complimentary reservation per cruise for sailings of 11 days or less. For sailings of more than 11 days, guests will receive two complimentary reservations. Guests may book additional reservations onboard for a nominal charge, subject to availability. Reservations will be required to dine at UMI UMA.
Crystal Serenity’s inaugural sailing will depart July 31 from Marseille. Crystal Symphony will depart on Sept. 1 from Athens. Planned voyages will travel throughout the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada and New England, Alaska, and the Caribbean. Additionally, they will travel through the Panama Canal, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
