So everyone has heard of “Drink Around the World” at Disney Epcot’s World Showcase, but it has been an ongoing cruise tradition for us to “Drink Around the Ship”. We make it a point to sample every bar menu and get at LEAST one drink at every bar on our cruise ship, so our recent 8-night Quantum of the Seas cruise was no different.
On Quantum of the Seas, each bar has a unique decor and themed menu, so why not try them all? That is what we did in our “Drink Around the Ship” extravaganza. Here we go as we travel to all the bars on Quantum of the Seas!
The Bars on Quantum of the Seas:
The Music Hall
The Music Hall, located on Deck 3 and 4, is one of the happening nighttime hot spots, and has 2 bars serving up musically inspired cocktails that you can sip on while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Tribute bands.
For the full bar menu, see the links below.
Some of our favorite drinks here at the Music Hall included the Metalliquor and the Gatsby.
Boleros
Boleros, a Royal Caribbean staple, is located on Deck 4, and is themed appropriately with Latin flavor. Here, you can enjoy a drink while listening to live Salsa music.
For the full menu of this bar, see the links below. During our “drink around the ship”, we ordered the Royal Borgona and a Mojito.
Michael’s Genuine Pub
Next up on the tour, Michael’s Genuine Pub, also located on Deck 4. This venue offers Michael Schwartz’s craft beer along with some other noteworthy cocktails. While at this venue, you can also sample some a la carte pub appetizers.
During the course of the week, DB made it a point to sample many of the beers on the menu, while I stuck to the Cabarete.
For a full bar menu of Michael’s Pub, use the links below.
Heading up another deck, Deck 5 has a vast array of bar options including the Schooner Bar, Vintages, The Bionic Bar, and Two70.
Vintages
Vintages, another Royal Caribbean staple, is a bar for all wine lovers. Here, they also offer light appetizers that you can purchase at a la carte pricing while sipping your glass of wine.
We are not big wine connoisseurs, so a simple glass of chardonnay and sirah were sufficient for us. Do be mindful if you are using a drink package here as many of the wine selections are over the $12 covered amount.
Here is the full Vintage’s Wine Bar menu.
Two70
Two70, another happening daytime and nighttime spot, was a popular hangout for us. During the day, this venue functions as a living room of sorts where you can relax and watch the 270′ view of the ocean, catch a robo show, dine on treats from the Cafe, or indulge in some of the adult beverages at the bar.
Here, I enjoyed the Cotton Canditini and DB sampled a few different drinks with his favorite being the Highwired. For a full bar menu of Two70, see the links below.
The Bionic Bar
Exiting the Via, The Bionic Bar, is the next bar you will encounter. This new and innovative bar design actually has robots that make and serve your drinks. Here, you order your drink on a tablet and can choose from one of the “favorites” or create your own cocktail.
For drinks, I tried a traditional favorite of Sex on the Beach and DB of course ordered Don’s Delight! While there were definitely kinks in the system, it was overall a fun experience and something you must try at least once while sailing on Quantum of the Seas.
The Schooner Bar
The last of the bars on Deck 5 is another Royal Caribbean favorite, The Schooner Bar. At this nautically inspired venue, you can enjoy your drinks while listening to live piano music.
The Schooner Bar’s menu offers many old time classics. I enjoyed the Tropical Old Fashioned while DB ordered a classic favorite, the Sidecar.
For a full bar menu, see the links below.
Heading all the way up to Deck 14 now, you have your more casual watering holes including the Pool Bar, the Sky Bar, and the Sunshine Bar.
The Pool Bar and The Sky Bar
The Pool Bar located adjacent to the indoor pool offers your classics Quenchers.
The Pool Bar serves the same menu as the Sky Bar, which is located outside near the outdoor pool and directly below the North Star Bar.
Here, you can choose something off the menu or indulge in one of your favorite classic frozen beverages. My favorite is always a Miami Vice and DB enjoyed an Ultimate Mai Tai.
Here is a full bar menu for both the Pool Bar and the Sky Bar.
The Sunshine Bar
Also located on Deck 14 in the Solarium is the Sunshine Bar. This bar offers healthier drink options with menus created by Devin Alexander and also offered in her restaurant onboard Quantum of the Seas, Devinly Decadence.
For a full menu from the Sunshine Bar use the links below.
While at the Sunshine Bar, I sampled the Power Pina Colada, and DB ordered the Sparkly Greyhound.
The North Star Bar
Last but not least on this “drink around the ship” extravaganza is the North Star Bar. This bar is located on Deck 15; it specializes in champagne and specialty cocktails and offers truly amazing views. It is the perfect pit-stop following your North Star ride.
While relaxing at this venue, DB opted for a frozen pina colada while I ordered a Passion in the City off the menu.
For a full menu of the North Star Bar, see the link below.
Phew! Seems like a pretty exhausting trip around the ship, but you too can do it! Besides these bars on Quantum of the Seas, remember you can of course always order drinks in the casino, in the Royal Theatre, and can also choose from select beers at places like the Seaplex Dog House, the Cafe at Two70, and Sorrento’s. So, Cheers to you having a fabulous time on your next cruise as you sample cocktails from all of the bars on Quantum of the Seas!
Comments:
Have you sailed on Quantum of the Seas yet? If so, what were your favorite spots to hang out and your favorite bar drinks? Even if you have not tried bars on Quantum of the Seas, what is your favorite place to have an adult beverage onboard? Do you have any cruise traditions like our “Drink Around the Ship”? We would love to hear from you, so drop us an anchor below to share your thoughts.

Were any of the beers ar Michael’s excluded from the drinks packages do you know (I know the 22oz ones are)?
DB and The Princess (@EatSleepCruise)
Hi Donna, Thanks for reading. You are correct, any “over-sized beers” are not covered in ANY drink package. The allowance for beer is 7 dollar, so if you order one of the two 22oz beers, priced at $14 (when we visited in January) you would have to pay the difference plus, 15% gratuity, meaning they would charge you $8.05. I stuck to just the beers covered in the drink package and never ran out of libations to try! Let us know if you have any other questions and check out our full review of Michael’s Pub, including food, here https://eatsleepcruise.com/2015/02/quantum-seas-michaels-genuine-pub-review/

Thanks for all the research on the many bars! Tough job but someone has to do it:). Honestly though the breakdown you and the Princess give are great. That must have been cool having robots make your drinks!

Thanks Gail for your comments. Yes, it is a tough job, but someone has to do it! LOL! Thanks for reading and I hope the review helps you plan your next vacation!
