Holland America Line has opened its 2026 Europe cruising season for booking. Four ships will take guests on seven to 42-day cruises in the Mediterranean, northern Europe, Canary Islands, and across the Atlantic Ocean.
Mediterranean
Oosterdam will host guests in the Mediterranean, offering seven to 14-day itineraries departing from five homeports: Lisbon, Piraeus (Athens), Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), and Trieste (Venice). Those who want a more immersive adventure in the region can combine these itineraries. A series of 28 Collectors’ Voyages spanning 14 to 28 days are available for booking, and up to 21 days can be sailed without repeating ports.
Northern Europe
Two Holland America ships will sail northern Europe in 2026: Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam. The two Pinnacle-class vessels will return to homeport in Rotterdam, a premier hub for exploring northern Europe. Nieuw Statendam will return to Dover, England in 2026, offering alternate itineraries for those wishing to sail roundtrip from England on select sailings.
The 2026 offerings include an increased number of seven-day Norwegian fjords cruises, as well as seven-day open-jaw sailings between Reykjavik, Iceland and Rotterdam. Travelers can also choose from a series of 14-day Baltic and Scandinavian Capitals cruises, many of which feature overnights or late-night calls in Oslo, as well as ports in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Denmark.
The 2026 northern Europe season will introduce four new ports of call for Holland America: Aberdeen, Scotland; Kalundborg, Denmark; and Odda, Norway aboard Rotterdam, as well as Portsmouth, England aboard Nieuw Statendam.
Canary Islands
Nieuw Statendam will visit the Canary Islands on 13 and 14-day Canary Island Enchantment itineraries, departing April 18th and October 3rd, respectively. Both sail roundtrip from Rotterdam and include ports in Madeira, Portugal, and England. Both the spring and fall cruises offer roundtrip Dover options departing April 17th and October 2nd.
Transatlantic
In March and April, Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam will cross the Atlantic Ocean from Fort Lauderdale to Rotterdam on 14-day cruises. Oosterdam will cross from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona on a 14-day itinerary.
In October and November, Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam, and Oosterdam will sail to Fort Lauderdale via Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Barcelona, respectively, on 14 and 15-day cruises.
More 2026 Europe Highlights
As previously announced, Holland America will offer six celestial cruises in Europe in 2026, including three eclipse cruises, two Northern Lights cruises, and one summer solstice Arctic Circle crossing. They will take place aboard Rotterdam, Oosterdam, Nieuw Statendam, and Zuiderdam. For more information, visit this article from earlier this week.
The 2026 season will include 11 departure cities for travelers to choose from: Rotterdam and Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Barcelona, Spain; Boston, Massachusetts; Civitavecchia (Rome) and Trieste (Venice), Italy; Dover, England; Lisbon, Portugal; Piraeus (Athens), Greece; Reykjavik, Iceland; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
There will be 12 overnight ports: Alexandria, Egypt; Alta and Oslo, Norway; Barcelona, Spain; Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples, and Trieste (Venice), Italy; Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland; Haifa, Israel; Istanbul, Turkey; South Queensferry (Edinburgh), Scotland; and Valletta, Malta.
Collectors’ Voyages
Many of the 2026 Europe sailings can be extended into Collectors’ Voyages. By combining two seven-day itineraries, a seven and a 14-day cruise, or longer non-repeating voyages, these journeys of up to 42 days combine back-to-back sailings, enabling guests to visit more ports and spend more time enjoying the ship.
