Explora Journeys, MSC Group’s luxury cruise line, has announced that in 2025, Explora II will be at the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco 2025.
The latest ship in the fleet will be docked in Monaco’s famous Port Hercule, a prime spot for race week. She will play host to a series of events, providing a fitting venue for the race and its star-studded crowd. Explora II will also serve as an elegant home-away-from-home for guests during the weekend.
Conveniently situated at the end of the harbor beyond the F1 Paddock, the ship will serve as a luxury boutique hotel at sea for the event. Guests will be able to enjoy elegant suites and residence-style accommodations with a private ocean-front terrace, enjoy 11 culinary experiences, partake in unlimited premium beverages, access the internet via high-speed Starlink wifi, enjoy entertainment and wellness offerings, and more.
“We are delighted to showcase our second luxury ship EXPLORA II for the very first time during the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2025,” said executive chairman of the cruise division of MSC Group, Pierfrancesco Vago. “FORMULA 1® is synonymous with cutting-edge technology, precision, and a relentless pursuit of excellence – values that we share with MSC Cruises and of course our luxury lifestyle brand Explora Journeys.”
“This is one of the most prestigious events in the calendar, and it is only fitting that this would be where we offer sporting enthusiasts an unforgettable experience that brings together the world of motor sports with the luxury of maritime travel.”
Leading up to the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco 2025, the Explora Journeys brand will be present trackside at major upcoming Formula 1 events.
In 2022, MSC Cruises signed a multi-year deal to become a Formula 1 Global Partner. Through this partnership, the line is able to showcase its extensive offering of cruises to Formula 1’s growing global fanbase and bring the thrill of Formula 1 to its passengers. The collaboration is now extending to Explora Journeys with the presence of Explora II at the race in Monaco next year.
Guests can now book their exclusive experience on Explora II including Grandstand Tickets or register their interest in F1 Paddock Club access via the Explora Experience Centre, on explorajourneys.com, or through their travel agent.
This news comes on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that MSC Cruises will be featured in the new Apple Original Films and Formula 1 movie “F1,” which comes out next year.
