Emerald Cruises is celebrating a major construction milestone for its new upcoming superyacht, Emerald Kaia. The cruise brand held a keel-laying ceremony for the vessel during the last week of 2024, bringing together the team at MKM Yachts in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. The ship is scheduled to debut in April 2026.
“The keel laying of Emerald Kaia marks another exciting step forward in our vision for redefining the yachting experience,” said Glen Moroney, chairman and founder of Scenic Group. “Building on the tremendous success of Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara, Emerald Kaia reflects our commitment to innovation, luxury, and sustainability. We thank the skilled team at MKM Yachts for bringing this vision to life.”
Emerald Kaia will be able to hold 128 guests, and a whopping 88 percent of the guest cabins will feature a balcony.
Highlights of the ship will include a swim-up platform for direct access to the ocean from the fitness center, an expansive Observation Sun Deck, and state-of-the-art wellness areas with a 50 percent larger spa. The vessel will also include enhanced marina facilities with an indoor lounge and new water toys — including an inflatable slide.
With a focus on connecting guests to the sea and their surroundings, the yacht will offer itineraries in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, and Seychelles. These itineraries are now open for booking.
