Cunard has announced plans to renovate its ship Queen Elizabeth ahead of her first season in the Caribbean and her debut in Alaska in 2025. The 2,000-guest ship will undergo a significant refit from February 25th to March 13th in Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore.

The Caribbean season will begin on October 16th with a 12-night roundtrip sailing from Miami. It’s the first time one of Cunard’s ships will spend the full season in Miami. The vessel will offer a program of roundtrip voyages ranging in length from nine to 28 nights.

Queen Elizabeth‘s transformation will feature refreshed signature interiors and exteriors. Signature spaces such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Garden Lounge, and The Pavilion will be thoughtfully redesigned, connecting guests to the ocean while providing perfect spaces to relax or dine outdoors.

Enhanced Grills Experience

As part of the renovation, the Grills experience will be elevated. Passengers staying in the exclusive Grills suites will enjoy enhanced interiors and exteriors featuring new furnishings, sophisticated detailing, and thoughtful design. The Grills dining experience will be enhanced by a special menu created exclusively for Grills guests by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux. Launching on the vessel following the refit, the three-course Gala Evening menu — which currently is available across the Cunard fleet — will include expertly curated dishes designed to celebrate the best culinary experiences at sea.

Wellness Offerings

Another standout feature of the refurbishment is the introduction of The Pavilion Wellness Café, which debuted earlier this year on Queen Anne. This wellness-focused venue will serve breakfast, lunch, and daytime dining with a menu celebrating plant-based cuisine alongside sustainably-sourced meat, fish, and dairy. Guests can also enjoy the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea program, also first seen on Queen Anne. This program offers three-day packages to relax, restore, or recover, providing a rejuvenating journey at sea.

Key Upgrades to Queen Elizabeth

Key upgrades to Queen Elizabeth will include:

  • Queens Room: A refreshed design with a new dance floor, soft furnishings, and furniture, ready to host Cunard’s famous Afternoon Tea, live music, and ballroom dancing in a sophisticated setting
  • Commodore Club: With new furniture, fixtures, and fittings, the Commodore Club will offer an enhanced space for guests to relax with cocktails and enjoy stunning ocean views.
