Carnival vs MSC: we’ve sailed both cruise lines multiple times, and most cruisers choose between them for the wrong reasons. Here’s what actually separates them before you book. 💲Save BIG with MEI-Travel cruise deals: https://bookmeicruise.com/?apid=escy 🌎Save Up to 40% On Shore Excursions: https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/?id=1603014 UP NEXT - 15 Things We Stopped Doing on Cruises: https://youtu.be/GtkBjn5GvJA Subscribe to the Eat Sleep Cruise YouTube Channel if you love to travel and cruise the world! https://www.youtube.com/@Eatsleepcruise1 Carnival and MSC are two of the cheapest ways to cruise right now, and MSC often looks like the better deal. Big, modern ships. Low fares. A more upscale feel. But the advertised price doesn’t tell the whole story. In this Carnival vs MSC comparison, we break down what you actually get for your money once you’re onboard, and who should book each cruise line. 🚢 What We Compare 💲 Cruise fares and value: real price comparisons on Bahamas, Alaska, and 7-night Caribbean cruises, including one where Carnival came in cheaper than MSC 🍔 Food and dining: Carnival’s included options like Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, Shaq’s Big Chicken, Chibang, and Cucina del Capitano vs the newer dining lineup on MSC World America 🍹 Bars and drink packages: Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Rum Bar, and Carnival’s themed bars vs MSC’s Venchi, The Gin Project, and Elixir Mixology Bar, plus why MSC’s bundled fares can be the better drink deal 🎢 Activities: the BOLT roller coaster and SkyRide on Carnival vs Robotron, Cliffhanger, and Jaw Drop @ The Spiral on MSC 🎭 Entertainment and nightlife: production shows, Punchliner Comedy Club, cruise directors, deck parties, and MSC’s White Party 👨‍👩‍👧 Families: Camp Ocean, Circle C, and Club O2 vs MSC’s LEGO kids programming ⚓ Is MSC cheaper than Carnival? Sometimes. MSC often undercuts Carnival on shorter Bahamas sailings, but when we compared newer ships like Carnival Celebration and MSC World America, Carnival was priced lower. MSC also bundles drinks and WiFi into some fares, so compare what each fare includes, not just the number on the screen. On both lines, you’ll pay extra for alcohol, WiFi, specialty dining, gratuities, and shore excursions. ⚓ Which cruise line has better food? For us, Carnival. More included casual dining, a more consistent main dining room, and faster service. MSC wins on pizza. ⚓ Which is better for families? Kids’ clubs and onboard activities are close to a tie. MSC pulls ahead on cabin variety for larger and multigenerational groups. ✅ Who Should Book Carnival Cruisers who care most about food, want a casual and social Fun Ship atmosphere with comedy, themed bars, and deck parties, or want a classic Caribbean or Bahamas cruise with stops at Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay. ✅ Who Should Book MSC Cruisers who want a more upscale ship without premium cruise prices, anyone considering MSC Yacht Club, travelers who can take advantage of bundled drink and WiFi fares, and anyone who enjoys a more international, European style cruise with big production shows and late-night parties. 0:00 MSC vs Carnival — Which One Is Right for You? 0:53 Why MSC Cruises Can Be So Tempting 2:20 MSC Cruises Vs Carnival Dining Showdown 4:22 Themed Bars vs Cheaper Drink Packages 6:27 The Biggest Attractions on Carnival and MSC 7:28 Two Very Different Entertainment Experiences 9:47 Choosing the Right Cruise for Your Family 10:50 The Cabin Upgrade That Changes the Experience 11:59 Private Islands That Could Decide Your Cruise 14:00 Carnival vs MSC: Which One Should You Choose? #CarnivalVsMSC #MSCCruises #CarnivalCruise #CruiseTips #MSCYachtClub #CelebrationKey #MSCWorldAmerica #CarnivalCelebration #CruiseComparison #CaribbeanCruise --TRENDING VIDEOS FROM EAT SLEEP CRUISE------ 6 Cruise Lines EVERYONE is Switching to in 2026: https://youtu.be/M-4eM2avmPU 40 Cruise Hacks We Swear by After 100 Cruises: https://youtu.be/ivvzrns5QOI 5 Cruise Lines Everyone Switching To in 2025: Best Cruises for Couples: https://youtu.be/fenNj5GmLdM Join us on Social Media as we “Sea the World, One Port at a Time.” Instagram: https://instagram.com/EatSleepCruise Facebook: https://facebook.com/EatSleepCruise Twitter: https://twitter.com/EatSleepCruise TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@eatsleepcruise Pinterest: https://pinterest.com/EatSleepCruise 📌 ABOUT EAT SLEEP CRUISE We're Don and Heidi from Eat Sleep Cruise.
