Sarah Bretz, ContributorCelebrity Cruises has announced new details on its upcoming Edge-class ship, Celebrity Xcel. The vessel will feature a new al fresco restaurant called Bora, as well as the most expansive entertainment offerings Celebrity has ever had.

Celebrity Xcel will be their happy place with new dining options and all-new entertainment and activities creating endless opportunities to ‘Date Night, All Day Long’,” said Michael Scheiner, chief marketing and product officer of Celebrity Cruises. “These elevated new experiences will invite guests to discover something new while creating shared memories.”
Bora
Celebrity Xcel will introduce a lively new al fresco restaurant called Bora, a “rooftop” restaurant offering panoramic ocean views. Through its seafood-forward menu, Bora will transport guests to the Mediterranean coast, offering the perfect setting for passengers to enjoy a lively brunch or an intimate dinner.
By day, Bora’s upbeat brunch will serve Mediterranean-inspired classics like shakshuka eggs with coriander, avocado and sourdough toast, and a flavorful croissant eggs benedict with lemon-scented salmon gravlax, ricotta spread, and hollandaise sauce. Brunch favorites like French toast will also be available — all with photo-worthy presentations. Customizable bloody mary’s with over-the-top garnishes and refreshing cocktails will also be on offer as roving musicians play energetic hits.
At night, Bora will feature chef-led tableside dining preparations and dishes designed to share. Guests can enjoy fresh seafood like seared branzino and garlic aioli, fideos negros tostados with razor clams, carabinero prawns, and elevated spins on Mediterranean favorites like lamb tagine with saffron couscous, while they dine under the stars. A backdrop of Greek ballads and Italian love songs will round out an unforgettable evening.
Theater Shows
When Celebrity Xcel sets sail, she will offer the most expansive entertainment lineup of any ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet. The schedule will include three new theater shows, developed by visionaries whose credentials span theater, films, television, and artist’s concert tours. Guests will enjoy performances by Celebrity’s largest theater cast including world-class singers, dancers, parkour artists, and specialty performers.
Other Entertainment
After dinner, a plethora of entertainment options will await guests on board. Passengers can sing along to favorite tunes with Celebrity’s piano bar entertainer or enjoy one of the new interactive shows in The Club. Those ready to groove the night away can join in on one of the new dance parties including destination-inspired festivals, 80s glitz and glam parties, a country music night, and a romantic candlelit concert experience. Plus, the electric Shine the Night party is returning, enticing guests to end the evening dancing under the stars.
Celebrity Xcel Schedule
Celebrity Xcel will spend her inaugural season sailing from Fort Lauderdale starting in November 2025. The vessel will operate seven-night voyages to the Caribbean and Bahamas. In summer 2026, the ship will sail in Europe, offering seven to 11-night voyages from Barcelona and Athens.
