MSC Cruises’ upcoming World-class ship MSC World Asia is now open for booking, starting with Mediterranean cruises in December 2026.

The vessel is the third in MSC’s World-class, each of which is named for the world’s continents. MSC World Europa, the first in the class, debuted in December 2022. The second in the class, MSC World America, is scheduled to begin sailing this April from Miami.

MSC World Asia is slated to begin passenger service on December 11, 2026 for the winter 2026-2027 season. It will offer seven-night cruises to destinations in the western Mediterranean including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), Messina, and Malta. Embarkation will be available in every port.

For the summer 2027 season, MSC World Asia will offer a seven-night itinerary visiting Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina, and Malta.

“We have chosen to deploy our latest flagship in the Western Mediterranean as it is our most popular region. MSC World Asia will further enhance our lineup in the region, giving guests even more choice of embarkation ports and itineraries for their winter escape or summer holiday,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises. “As with each of our new ships, we’ll introduce innovative new concepts, venues and services to deliver the ultimate cruise experience for our guests.”

About MSC World Asia

MSC World Asia will feature subtle design elements that reflect the rich culture, art, and landscapes of Asia. It retains the class’ signature plumb bow rising vertically from the waterline, and the iconic Y-shaped aft that opens onto the large outdoor promenade.

The vessel will include over 40 bars, lounges, and restaurants, alongside large facilities for families, international entertainment, and more. Public spaces will be divided into seven “districts,” each with their own atmosphere, venues, and experiences.

MSC Voyager’s Club Benefit

MSC Voyager’s Club members who book a cruise on MSC World Asia by February 13, 2025 will receive 1,000 extra points, plus an onboard credit of 50 euros per person. They’ll also benefit from their usual Voyager’s Exclusives benefits when booking more than 12 months ahead of their departure, including a 5%+5% discount, double membership points after the cruise is booked, and a 50 euro onboard credit from MSC Voyager’s Club Silver status.
