Sarah Bretz, ContributorHolland America Line has announced that it is kicking off the year with a designated “Cruise Week,” which will include a weeklong sponsorship of “Wheel of Fortune.”
Running from January 13th to 17th, the Cruise Week sponsorship will be the first time a single cruise line will be featured on “Wheel of Fortune” throughout the entire week. Previously, the show has featured cruise giveaways.
Also part of Cruise Week is the addition of a $25 deposit to Holland America’s wave season Start Your Journey sale.
Wheel of Fortune
Airing this week, the “Wheel of Fortune” episodes feature a different destination each day as a nod to the regions that Holland America ships visit. Over the course of the game show sponsorship, the line will be giving away to contestants several seven-day cruises for two, including roundtrip airfare, that highlight a range of destinations from Alaska to Europe and beyond.
With values averaging between $7,000 and $9,000, Holland America prizes will be incorporated across a number of the show’s segments, including the Wedge (prize on the wheel), Third Round Prize Puzzles (with a guaranteed winner each night), At-Home Sweepstakes (at home viewer prize), and Fan Friday (at home viewer prize).

- Monday, January 13: 7-Day Alaska cruise
- Tuesday, January 14: 7-Day Mediterranean cruise
- Wednesday, January 15: 7-Day Canada & New England cruise
- Thursday, January 16: 7-Day Northern Europe cruise
- Friday, January 17: 7-Day Caribbean cruise
Viewers who tune into “Wheel of Fortune” will see the set transformed into a nautical theme that looks like a port with waving Holland America flags above the screen, as well as a backdrop that looks like a ship pier behind the contestants. Holland America’s branded logo will also be featured all throughout the set.
Addition to Wave Season Sale
Holland America Line’s celebration of Cruise Week also adds a bonus to the Start Your Journey Sale offer. Those who book a cruise or cruisetour between today and January 20, 2025 can take advantage of $25 deposits on select summer 2025 through spring 2026 cruises. The promotion already includes balcony upgrades, bonus amenities, and reduced deposits.
The Start Your Journey Sale applies to those who book cruises and cruisetours with the “Have It All” premium package.
