MSC World Europa Restaurants Guide With Menus

MSC World Europa restaurants

We’ve just returned from a sailing on MSC Cruises’ new World Class of ships and are back to share all the dining details with you in our complete guide to the MSC World Europa restaurants with menus. Check out all the complimentary and specialty dining options available on the ship, so you can plan where you want to eat during your cruise.

Complimentary MSC World Europa Restaurants

When it comes to complimentary dining, MSC Cruises typically has only a few options that are included in your cruise fare. These include the main dining rooms and the buffet. Until now, there were no alternative casual and complimentary dining spots available. But the World Class has changed this! MSC World Europa now boasts Pizza & Burger nearby Luna Park for additional quick service options, as well as a poolside grill serving similar items.

Of course, guests staying in MSC Yacht Club also have their own private restaurant.

Main Dining Rooms

  • La Foglia Restaurant (Deck 5): 5:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 9:30 PM
  • Esagono Restaurant (Deck 6): 6:30 PM, 9 PM
  • Hexagon Restaurant (Deck 6): 6:30 PM, 9 PM
  • Bubbles Restaurant (Deck 6): 6 PM, 8:30 PM, 6 to 10 PM for My Choice guests
  • Les Dunes Restaurant (Deck 8): 6:30 to 10 PM for My Choice suite guests

MSC World Europa has five main dining rooms spread across Decks 5, 6, and 8. The restaurants include La Foglia Restaurant, Esagono Restaurant, Hexagon Restaurant, Bubbles Restaurant, and Les Dunes Restaurant. The Les Dunes Restaurant is reserved exclusively for those who are staying in MSC’s Aurea suites. Those who booked into the Aurea Experience have a reserved section in Bubbles.

These Aurea guests get My Choice Dining. This means they can choose a different dining time each night of their cruise. Guests booked in the Bella and Fantastica Experiences will be assigned a dining time and dining room, with Fantastica guests getting priority for requested dining times.

Regardless of whether you have Assigned Dining or My Choice Dining, all five main dining rooms offer the same rotational menu for dinner. These menus do change nightly with a list of “always available” selections. Each night, the menu includes a rotational selection of starters, entrees, and desserts.

The Hexagon Restaurant is also open for breakfast daily from around 7:30 to 9 AM and lunch from 12 to 1:30 PM. On the one sea day, this venue served a brunch instead from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Menus:

Breakfast | Sea Day Brunch | Lunch 1 | Lunch 2 | Lunch 3 | Lunch 4 | Lunch 5 | Lunch 6 | Dinner 1 | Dinner 2 | Dinner 3 | Dinner 4 | Dinner 5 | Dinner 6 | Dinner 7

Pizza & Burger (Deck 6)

New to MSC Cruises is a quick service station serving pizza, burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, and more. Pizza & Burger is open from 11:30 AM/12 PM to 2 AM serving grab-and-go snack options. The venue features plenty of seating and retro arcade games as well.

We think this is a great new addition to the MSC World Europa restaurants lineup!

Coffee Emporium (Deck 8)

Another great addition is the Coffee Emporium located on the World Promenade. In fact, this may have been our favorite spot on the ship.

While MSC boasts all bars on its ships serve espresso, we’ve found that the bartenders struggle to make specialty coffee drinks. Custom lattes, macchiatos, and the like are certainly not their forte.

But now, the Coffee Emporium solves all this. And, most of the drinks are even included in the MSC drink packages. While you’re grabbing your iced caramel latte, cold brew, or other caffeine fix, you’ll also have some food options available for an upcharge. Similar to a Starbucks on land, the Coffee Emporium serves breakfast pastries, sandwiches, and other small treats throughout the day.

The Coffee Emporium is generally open from 7 AM to 11 PM, so you can grab some espresso martinis in the evenings too.

Il Mercato Buffet (Deck 18) and La Brasserie Buffet (Deck 19)

Given that the World Class is quite a bit larger and carries considerably more passengers than the previous Seaside Class vessels, MSC World Europa has two buffets. Il Mercato and La Brasserie are the two buffets, which are basically stacked on top of each other.

Il Mercato is open daily for breakfast (7 to 11 AM), lunch (12:30 to 4:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 to 10 PM).

La Brasserie is open for breakfast (6:30 to 10 AM) and lunch (12 to 3 PM) only as it becomes a supplemental restaurant for Yacht Club guests in the evenings.

While most of the time you can choose to dine at either, occasionally the staff did direct guests to one or the other based on capacity. Don’t worry though, as the majority of the selections are the same.

At breakfast, guests will find a custom egg and omelet station. Additional menu items include options like scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes and waffles, and breakfast pastries. Cereal, fruit, and other continental items are available as well.

Lunch and dinner features a number of different stands with various food offerings. These include a pizza station, a pasta station, a salad bar, select international hot entrees, charcuterie with meats and cheeses, and hamburgers and hot dogs.

MSC World Europa Specialty Restaurants

While you don’t have to spend money on food while cruising on MSC World Europa, there are quite a few upcharge restaurants that might be worth the splurge. If you choose to dine at the available specialty restaurants, you can either pay a la carte, pay a set fee for the limited Dining Experience menu, or purchase a specialty dining package.

If you are considering dining at a few of these venues, you might want to purchase a dining package.

Dining Package prices for our sailing were:

  • 2 Dining Experiences (Kaito Sushi and Teppanyaki)- 62 euro
  • 3 Dining Experiences (Chef’s Garden Kitchen, Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Sushi)- 125 euro
  • 4 Dining Experiences (Chef’s Garden Kitchen, Kaito Teppanyaki, Butcher’s Cut, Hola! Tacos) – 150 euro

It is important to note that the specialty dining packages on MSC Cruises are slightly different than you find on most other cruise lines. Each package includes specific specialty restaurants. Thus, you are not able to customize your restaurant picks. Further, if you are on a dining package, you must order items off the limited Dining Experience menu and can purchase additional items off the full menu at a la carte prices or swap out items for 50% off.

If you plan to dine at any of these MSC World Europa restaurants, you should make reservations as soon as possible, as popular restaurants and dining times do fill up quickly.

Jean Philippe Chocolat & Cafe (Deck 6)

Jean Philippe Chocolat & Cafe is a chocolate lover’s paradise. This venue serves a variety of treats that are available for an upchage. There’s chocolates, gelato, sundaes, crepes, and more that are crafted on board in an open-air kitchen. This venue also serves espresso-based beverages and specialty hot chocolate drinks.

Jean Philippe Chocolat & Cafe is generally open every day from 7:30 AM to midnight. Unfortunately though, none of the food or drinks are included in any dining or drink packages.

Hola Tacos and Cantina (Deck 7)

Hola! Tacos and Cantina serves up Mexican-style street food in a vibrant open setting restaurant, with a nearby bar also serving up some tasty margaritas.

At Hola!, guests can choose an all-you-can-eat option for a set fee of 22.99 euro per person or pay a la carte for each menu item. The menu features a variety of Mexican favorites like guacamole, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and more.

This is a great option for a casual lunch or dinner on MSC World Europa. Hola Tacos is open daily from 12 to 10 PM.

Butcher’s Cut (Deck 7)

The Butcher’s Cut is the signature steakhouse on MSC Cruises ships. This upscale restaurant is one of the best at sea in our opinion, featuring premium cuts of beef alongside various starters, sides, and desserts. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy an elegant night out.

The venue is smaller than it is on Seaside Class ships, but it still features an open kitchen and ample dining room seating.

The Butcher’s Cut is open nightly for dinner from 6:30 to 10:30 PM and for brunch from 12 to 2 PM.

Kaito Teppanyaki (Deck 7)

Like many cruise lines, MSC ships feature a Japanese hibachi-style restaurant. Kaito Teppanyaki is open nightly for dinner from 6:30 to 10:30 PM with set seatings and for lunch from 12 to 1:30 PM.

This teppanyaki restaurant’s menu features set tasting combinations at varying prices. Each begins with a sushi and sashimi plate, miso soup, teppan salad, and fried rice. There is then a fish portion and a meat portion which varies based on which experience you select. The meal then concludes with a pineapple and ginger ice cream dessert. There is an additional vegetarian and kids menu available.

Once you make your selections, it’s time to sit back and enjoy this interactive dinner show. Watch your chef cook up the meal right in front of you with a little singing and fun along the way.

Kaito Teppanyaki Menu

Kaito Sushi Bar (Deck 7)

Adjacent to Kaito Teppanyaki is Kaito Sushi Bar. Kaito Sushi is open 6:30 to 10:30 PM nightly for dinner and 12 to 2 PM for lunch.

At Kaito Sushi, cruisers can pull up a seat at the bar top to order up various sushi and sashimi options. There are also additional items on the menu like tempura, teriyaki, soup, noodles, and desserts. So, even if you don’t like sushi, you can probably find something on the menu to enjoy. I sampled the soba noodles and chicken teriyaki, while Don enjoyed some namesake selections.

Chef’s Garden Kitchen (Deck 8)

Chef’s Garden Kitchen is a new specialty dining concept for MSC Cruises which debuted on World Europa. However, it will not be featured on World America. Instead, World America will feature the only Eataly Italian restaurant at sea.

At Chef’s Garden Kitchen, the menu infuses fresh ingredients grown in the ship’s first-at-sea hydroponic garden. The dishes are more unique than your typical specialty restaurant selections with an emphasis on seafood along with a few beef options like Wagyu sirloin and short rib.

If you’re looking for a unique dining experience, this is for you. With ocean views, an open kitchen, and a creative menu, it’s perfect to celebrate a special occasion.

Chef’s Garden Kitchen is open nightly for dinner from 6:30 to 10:30 PM.

La Pescaderia (Deck 8)

Also new on MSC Cruises is La Pescaderia. This new seafood restaurant is complete with a fresh fish market and a takeout window. Of note, World America will not feature this venue. Instead, the ship will debut the Greek Paxos restaurant.

La Pescaderia is a Mediterranean-inspired venue located on the World Promenade of World Europa. It features both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests can select their fish which complements the other hot and cold mezes on the menu.

La Pescaderia is open nightly for dinner from 6:30 to 10 PM and for lunch from 12 to 2 PM.

The grab-and-go window is open from 12 to 10 PM daily and features items like frito misto for 6 euro or fish & chips for 8 euro.

La Pescaderia Menu

Sweet Temptations (Deck 8)

Also located on the outdoor World Promenade, Sweet Temptations is a gourmet ice cream shop. This venue serves gelato, make-your-own ice cream bars, waffles, crepes, and other sweet treats at a la carte prices.

None of the selections here are included in any dining or drink packages similar to Jean Philippe Chocolat & Cafe.

Sweet Temptations is open daily from 12 to 10:30 PM.

Room Service

Room Service delivery is included with Fantastica and Aurea experiences on breakfast and 24 hour room service orders. Bella Experience guests will be charged 4 euro for delivery. However, you do still need to pay for the menu items ordered regardless of your experience level. Room service is included for Yacht Club guests however.

Continental breakfast items are complimentary, but other items like sandwiches and salads will cost around 5 euro. A pizza menu is also available with prices from 6 to 10 euro. Of note, pizza delivery was only available from 8 PM to 1:30 AM on our European sailing. This is different than our sailing on MSC Seashore in the Caribbean where it was available all day.
