Royal Caribbean’s newest and largest cruise ship to date, Harmony of the Seas, boasts 7 exciting neighborhoods for you to explore during your cruise. With several thrills and firsts at sea scattered throughout the ship, you will want to get acquainted with each of the neighborhoods and what they have to offer before you sail on this mega-ship. Central Park

This open-air space nestled in the middle of deck 8 is a beautifully designed greenspace offering plenty for you to explore. Here’s what you should know about Central Park.

The restaurants available in this unique neighborhood are Chop’s Grille, Jamie’s Italian, Park Café, and 150 Central Park. Whether you are in the mood for a signature steak, some gourmet Italian food, a quick snack, or an elegant dining experience, Central Park is home to some of the best specialty dining onboard Harmony of the Seas. Many of these restaurants also offer al fresco dining for you to enjoy a romantic evening outside.

Before or after dinner, you will want to grab a drink at one of the bars located in this neighborhood as well. Whether you fancy a glass of wine from Vintages, a cocktail from the outdoor Trellis Bar, or something more unique in the moving Rising Tide Bar, Central Park has you covered. You can also enjoy some live music and dancing in the nearby Dazzles.

Central Park, found on all Oasis class ships, is unlike anything you have ever experienced on a cruise ship. This tranquil neighborhood houses over 12,000 live trees and plants including the “living walls”. Boardwalk

This outdoor neighborhood located aft on deck 6 is a colorful and lively neighborhood reminiscent of a seaside pier that is fun for the whole family. After one visit to the Boardwalk, you won’t want to leave. Here’s why.

Fitting with the relaxed atmosphere of this neighborhood, the Boardwalk offers a few casual dining options including Sabor Mexican restaurant, the Boardwalk Doghouse, and Johnny Rockets. During your cruise on Harmony of the Seas, you should sample some handmade guacamole from Sabor, a few dogs from the Doghouse, and a burger and fries from Johnny Rockets. Not all in the same day of course!

If you are in need of a tasty beverage while on the Boardwalk, you are in luck. You can head to Starbucks at sea for your customized latte creations, order a milkshake at Johnny Rockets, or sip a handcrafted margarita from Sabor. We suggest trying them all.

The Aqua Theater is the main feature of this neighborhood with the ocean as its backdrop. This large outdoor venue hosts one of a kind entertainment that features diving and aerial acrobatics. These shows should not be missed. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Royal Promenade

The hub of activity on most Royal Caribbean ships, the Royal Promenade is no different on Harmony of the Seas. It’s surely one of the neighborhoods where you will spend a lot of time both day and night.

Restaurant options in the Royal Promenade include the “quick service” Café Promenade and Sorrento’s. Whether you want to grab a small sandwich, a cookie or pastry, a cup of coffee, or a slice of pizza, these two casual eateries are open and ready to serve.

If you would rather quench your thirst, bars abound in the Royal Promenade on Harmony of the Seas. New on Oasis class ships is the Bionic Bar where robot bartenders will make and serve your drinks. Other watering holes include the Rising Tide Bar which ascends 3 decks to Central Park and affords great aerial views of this neighborhood, the Boot & Bonnet Pub, the Latin-themed Boleros, and the karaoke bar On Air.

There are also plenty of shopping options on the Royal Promenade including a Kate Spade store. Whether you are in the market for a new handbag, some duty-free liquor, or some Royal Caribbean logo merchandise, you are in the right neighborhood.

Be on the look-out for sidewalk sales, parades, and more all happening in the Royal Promenade during your cruise. From jewelry sales and $10 t-shirts to the 90’s Party and the Let’s Celebrate parade, the Royal Promenade is where you want to be. Stake out prime real estate early as this area can get very busy.

As if you could miss it, Head, a masterpiece that is part of the Harmony of the Seas’ art collection, is featured in the Royal Promenade as well. This larger than life piece of smart art is certainly worthy of a photo-op.

Pool and Sports Zone

Located on decks 15 and 16, the Pool and Sports Zone is the place to be for all the sun-seekers and adrenaline junkies. Showcasing some familiar activities along with a few firsts at sea, this neighborhood offers plenty of fun in the sun.

Familiar Royal Caribbean favorites located in this neighborhood include 4 pools, 2 Flowrider surf simulators, a zip line, a mini-golf course, and an open sports court. Who says you have to pick just one of these activities?

If that’s not enough, Harmony of the Seas offers some firsts at sea that all of the thrill seekers are sure to love. The Perfect Storm, a trio of waterslides, including two racing slides and a champagne bowl slide are waiting to offer some wet and wild fun. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story slide towering 150 feet above sea level, is also waiting for you to take the plunge. Overlooking the Aqua Theater at the aft of the ship, the Ultimate Abyss is a one of a kind experience.

For the kids, Splashaway Bay is a new and improved aqua park replacing the H2O zone on Harmony of the Seas. This adventure park for the little ones is filled with exciting elements like water cannons, slides, and more. This area is sure to provide hours of fun.

For the adults, don’t forget about the tranquil Solarium for hours of rest and relaxation. Although the Solarium on Harmony of the Seas does not have a pool, there are plenty of comfy loungers and amazing views to enjoy.

The full service spa on Harmony of the Seas offers massages, facials, manicures, and other spa treatments as well as a beauty salon. Be on the lookout for special sales and promotions while onboard and make your reservations early before they book up. Who wouldn’t want to indulge in one of these special treatments while on vacation?

If that’s not enough, the Vitality Spa and Fitness Center also offers a Thermal Suite. Complete with heated ceramic loungers, saunas, and steam rooms, this area of the ship truly offers total relaxation and the perfect escape from the real world.

There is even a dedicated spa area for kids and teens offering services catered to the young ones. Like mother, like daughter!

Entertainment Place

The largest cruise ship in the world is packed with equally larger than life entertainment. Entertainment Place on Harmony of the Seas is home to the Royal Theater, Casino Royale, Studio B, Jazz on 4, and the Attic. With so many entertainment offerings, we recommend making reservations where applicable to ensure you don’t miss the show.

The Royal Theater on Harmony of the Seas is home to first class entertainment. Featuring the Broadway hit musical, Grease, and a Royal Caribbean signature production, Columbus the Musical, this venue will keep you entertained for hours.

Casino Royale can also keep you entertained for hours but may cost you a bit of cash. Let’s hope Lady Luck is on your side as you double down. If cards aren’t your strong suit, hit up the roulette or craps tables, play your favorite slot machine, or perhaps partake in a Poker or slot tournament.

If you are ready for some laughs, you will want to check out the Attic. This comedy club features shows most nights of the cruise. The comedians are the same for the duration of the cruise, so you will only need to attend one show, but we highly recommend making reservations ahead of time.

For some easy listening and lounging, you will want to make your way to Jazz on 4, another venue located in Entertainment Place. This intimate location offers live Jazz performances during your cruise.

To round out Entertainment Place is another happening venue, Studio B. Studio B offers some open ice skating times during the day and hosts the one of a kind ice show, 1889, in the evening. Besides ice skating, Studio B also doubles as a venue for popular shows like the Quest and the new Red Party exclusively on Harmony of the Seas.

Youth Zone

All the entertainment and fun is not just for adults on Harmony of the Seas. This ship boasts an out of this world Youth Zone for the kids as well, located on decks 14 and 15. No matter what age, they are sure to love the programs offered by Royal Caribbean.

Teens will enjoy meeting and hanging out with new friends in the Living Room and spacious outdoor deck. They can also dance it up with fellow teens in the Fuel Disco which is open until 2 am. If that’s not enough, there is also a video arcade nearby.

The Adventure Ocean Program is open to children 3-11 years old. This activity program will keep the kids entertained all day long. Not to worry, Adventure Ocean is run by trained staff so the experience will be safe and educational as well.

If you are bringing a baby or toddler along with you, the Youth Zone on Harmony of the Seas also offers enriching age appropriate activities as well as a fully staffed nursery with daytime and evening childcare drop offs.

Within the Youth Zone, kids can explore the world of color and imagination in Adventure Art, experiment in the Adventure Science Lab, or enjoy the first ever children’s theater at sea, Adventure Ocean Theater. Children of all ages will love partaking in the talent shows and classes offered.

Puzzle Break is also located in the Youth Zone on Harmony of the Seas. This escape room experience is a must do activity. You will have one hour to work together with your group to find hidden clues and solve puzzles to Escape the Rubicon. Will you make it out of this locked room before time runs out? We didn’t!
