Miami, May 21, 2021 – Crystal Cruises today announced the extension of its new Luxury Bahamas Escapes aboard Crystal Serenity adding six new seven-night voyages with three round-trip from Nassau on October 23, October 30, and November 6, and three round-trip from Bimini on October 24, October 31 and November 7. The new sailings follow Crystal Serenity’s recently announced all-Bahamas itineraries, which opened for reservations with record demand, representing the biggest single day of bookings in the company’s history within the first 24 hours of its release. Reservations will open for these newly added Luxury Bahamas Escapes voyages on May 27.

“The terrific response to our initial deployment of Crystal Serenity’s Luxury Bahamas Escapes showcases the pent-up desire in cruising and we are equally eager to start exploring again and to welcome our guests back on board,” said Jack Anderson, Crystal’s president. “The Bahamas is the perfect destination to launch our return to cruising, as it is both close to home and yet a world away, with amazing outdoor options from snorkeling and diving to eco-tours and deep-sea fishing, to just relaxing on some of the world’s most beautiful beaches.

“These itineraries are truly unique because they offer guests the chance to experience exclusive places usually only accessible by sea planes or private yachts and sailboats. We are delighted that The Bahamas has welcomed us to explore their beautiful Family Islands and we look forward to sharing their natural wonders and authentic, up-close experiences with our guests.”

The new voyages will feature a change of anchorage from Harbour Island to Spanish Wells*, which will be reflected on all Luxury Bahamas Escapes sailings. The website will be adjusted within the coming days. A water shuttle to nearby Harbour Island and an optional golf cart tour of the island will still be offered during the call in Spanish Wells to provide guests expanded choices for exploring and the opportunity to experience both destinations.

The secluded isle of Spanish Wells offers pristine beaches, turquoise seas, and a serene escape from reality where cars are replaced by golf carts and fresh seafood from the local boats is always on the menu. The crystal-clear waters surrounding Spanish Wells offer spectacular snorkeling and diving along the island’s shallow reef, Devil’s Backbone, where guests can spy parrotfish, angelfish, stingrays, moray eels and more. Guests can also choose to explore the island’s waters on a kayak tour through mangroves teeming with marine life.

“We are thrilled that Crystal Cruises has added six new sailings to its Luxury Bahamas Escapes cruising program,” said Dionisio D’Aguilar, The Bahamas Minister of Tourism & Aviation. “On our Family Islands, the impact is expected to bring with it manageable interaction with guests – and opportunities to curate memorable experiences for small, intimate groups of travelers. As always, we will continue to work closely with all parties to ensure that we are delivering an unforgettable guest experience, while ensuring our local communities benefit positively.”

Best Available fares for the newly added Luxury Bahamas Escapes sailings start at $1,999 per guest, including $500 Book Now Savings and $500 air savings. Guests will receive a $125 per person As You Wish shipboard credit with Crystal Society Savings doubling to five percent; new-to-Crystal guests saving 2.5 percent; and solo fares starting at just 125 percent. Travelers with Future Cruise Credits and Future Cruise Payments may redeem them on this itinerary. Guests will also enjoy $100 reduced deposits and an extended final payment date of 60 days prior to sailing providing flexibility and ease in the return to travel.

Crystal recently announced that guests must be fully inoculated with a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to boarding any Crystal ship as part of its Crystal Clean+ measures. Additionally, through the Crystal Pristine program, Crystal maintains a commitment to following and in instances exceeding the worldwide environmental regulations, and preserving the beauty of the oceans in which Crystal ships travel. In fact, the company was recently awarded the blue circle award from the Port of Vancouver, which acknowledges cruise lines that voluntarily implement sustainability measures and practices that go above and beyond those required by port regulations.

A leader in unrivaled luxury cruising for 30 years, Crystal Cruises distinguishes its ships and its voyages with fine details and nuances that make a big impact for discerning travelers. All-inclusive experience with award-winning entertainment; diverse enrichment options; globally-inspired dining, including Nobu Matsuhisa’s only seagoing restaurants; unlimited pours of fine wines, beers and premium spirits and an unwavering standard of genuine, personal service for each guest underscores the Crystal difference. Crystal Serenity’s social spaciousness will be further increased with a commitment to reduced guest capacity when the ship resumes sailing.
