Sarah Bretz, ContributorBack by popular demand, Celebrity Cruises’ ship Celebrity Apex is spending the spring and summer sailing from Southampton, England. The vessel will offer voyages to destinations including northern Europe, Ibiza, and the Canary Islands. The season will also include the line’s first President’s Cruise in the Norwegian Fjords.
“Guests told us how much they loved the amazing itineraries we offered with our Celebrity Apex sailings last year, so we’re excited to homeport this revolutionary ship in Southampton again this summer,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises. “I am excited to join Apex this May for the 2025 President’s Cruise and spend time enjoying the incredible Norwegian Fjords itinerary alongside our guests.”
The ship kicked off her Southampton season this past Sunday with an 11-night voyage to the Canary Islands and Portugal.
Departing May 17th, Celebrity’s annual President’s Cruise offers an elevated vacation with a week of fun experiences, surprises, and a chance for Captain’s Club members to get to know Celebrity’s executive team. Among the activities will include culinary events hosted by Celebrity’s chefs, exclusive entertainment performances, and specially-curated shore excursions hosted by Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge.
Celebrity Apex is the second in Celebrity’s Edge-class, which started with the launch of Celebrity Edge in 2018. Apex followed with a 2019 debut date. The class features an outward-facing design with enhanced food and beverage offerings, a variety of spa and wellness amenities, and high-energy entertainment. Highlights of the ship include the cantilevered multipurpose venue the Magic Carpet, the private Retreat area with its own restaurant and sundeck, the Rooftop Garden, and 29 bars and restaurants.
