With a cruise season that is only a few months long, you might be on the hunt for the best voyage to Bermuda. Luckily, there are several great options for you to choose from departing up and down the East Coast. Not sure which one is right for your next vacation? Well, the Princess and I have put together our list of the Best Cruises to Bermuda to help you pick the cruise that will be the best fit for you and your family.

Best Cruises to Bermuda

Anthem of the Seas

Perfect for couples who are looking for a quick getaway

As one of the most technologically advanced ships at sea, Anthem of the Seas is an ideal ship for cruising to Bermuda. Departing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New Jersey, the ship boasts plenty of onboard amenities to keep you entertained. With two theaters showcasing signature nightly entertainment, your evenings will never be boring. During the day, you can take a ride in the world record holding North Star aerial gondola, stroll the elegant Esplanade lined with bars and restaurants, or brave the iFLY skydiving simulator. Also, you can add on some good old fashion fun, like bumper cars and roller skating, to make for an unforgettable trip.

Offering five night cruises (Saturday through Thursday) from May to August, you can escape for a few nights without exhausting all your vacation days. The trip includes one overnight stay on the island coupled with a few sea days. Your day and a half in Bermuda gives you the chance to see and do some of the top attractions on the island. See what the Princess and I thought of this cruise in our Anthem of the Seas Bermuda Cruise Review.

Norwegian Breakaway/Escape

Perfect for families with children of all ages

If you are looking for a ship that can make mom, dad, your little ones, and even the teenagers happy, then look no further than Norwegian Cruise Line. With kids programs, a ropes course, waterslides, and teen only areas, kids of all ages will have plenty to keep them occupied. When you include over a dozen dining options and close to 20 bars and lounges, mom and dad will be happy too. This year, the Norwegian Breakaway is offering seven day round trip sailings from now through September.

Next year, her bigger sister, Norwegian Escape, will be taking over the same sailings. Both ships offer very similar experiences, including signature Broadway style entertainment and the line’s Freestyle approach to cruising with no set dinner times or table assignments. During the seven days, you will have plenty of time to take in all of Bermuda as your ship will be docked for two and a half days. Whether you choose to lounge on the beach, explore some caves, or take a historic walking tour, you and the entire family will love your time on the island.

Carnival Horizon

Perfect for those who like to be on the cutting edge

If you are looking for the newest ship sailing to Bermuda, then you might need to wait a year. You know what they say, good things come to those who wait. In 2018, Carnival Horizon, the line’s newest and largest ship, will offer select four night cruises to Bermuda. Departing from New York City, the cruises will run Thursday to Monday, just long enough to let you experience a little taste of the island. With two sea days and one day to spend in Bermuda, there will be plenty for you to do both onboard and on shore.

Part of the Vista-class of ships, Carnival Horizon will be equipped with an IMAX theater featuring 4D movies and the skyride, an outdoor cycling ride suspended above the pool deck. With one of the line’s largest water parks and sports decks, you may never want to head indoors. Several different dining options and a variety of bars and lounges are all yours to enjoy as well. Are there a few more surprises yet to be announced? Who knows. Either way, Carnival Horizon will give you a taste of Bermuda and the cruise line that may have you wanting more for your next vacation.

Celebrity Summit

Perfect for those looking for some modern luxury

For those who have more refined tastes, we suggest Celebrity Summit. The premium cruise line, Celebrity Cruises, offers one of the most elegant cruises to Bermuda. Sailing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New Jersey, Celebrity Summit will cater to your every need. The regular seven night sailings on the ship includes two and a half days on the island, where you can golf, dip your toes in the pink sand, or hop on a ferry to explore Hamilton and St. George’s. Whatever you do ashore, modern luxury will be waiting for you back on the ship.

After receiving a recent makeover, Celebrity Summit is ready to wow you during your Bermuda cruise. The Rooftop Terrace offers stunning views of the surrounding areas, along with food, drinks, and evening entertainment that is family friendly. In addition, you can choose from a variety of dining options, including the specialty restaurant Qsine, which offers a tasting menu that is anything but ordinary. Tack on a brand new signature show iMagic, along with the other nightly entertainment, and there is just something innovative around every corner. Don’t forget to top off your evening with a handcrafted martini at Crush, an iced-top martini bar where crafting cocktails becomes a show as well.

Norwegian Dawn

Perfect for Northerners who don’t want to travel too far

One of the Best Cruises to Bermuda, Norwegian Dawn, is located right in our backyard. Offering regular week long sailings from Boston, this is the perfect option for those New Englanders who hate to commute. Or, if you are looking for a departure point other than NYC, a weekend in Boston in the summer months will let you enjoy all of the amazing history and culture in the place that we call home. Not that you should overlook the ship itself.

Recently updated in 2016, Norwegian Dawn is like a brand new ship. We got an exclusive tour of the vessel right after drydock and can confirm that she looked fabulous. With updates to all of the cabins and many public spaces, as well as the addition of the line’s popular O’Sheehan’s Pub, the ship is now more comparable to the line’s larger vessels. Norwegian Dawn also boasts NCL’s only specialty Mexican restaurant, Los Lobos Cantina, which offers authentic Tex Mex. This seven day journey to Bermuda includes two over nights on the island during both the 2017 and 2018 cruise season.

No matter which cruise ship you choose, your trip to Bermuda is sure to be filled with fond memories and some pink sand. Now, hurry up and book that perfect cruise before someone else snatches up your cabin.
