Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, Celebrity Edge, will be arriving later this year. After the line’s latest reveal, we now know quite a bit about this groundbreaking new vessel. With all of the announcements that have occurred over the past year, you may have forgotten a thing or two about this revolutionary ship. That is why we have put together this look at everything we know about Celebrity Edge. Now you can be fully prepared for her arrival in December 2018.

Everything We Know About Celebrity Edge
Celebrity Edge
This brand-new class of ship will be the largest ship to date for Celebrity Cruises. Weighing in at just under 130K gross tons, Celebrity Edge will be 16 decks of modern luxury that is taken to the edge.
Celebrity Cruises partnered with a global list of architects, designers, culinary experts, and production companies to create some of the most innovative and creative experiences at sea.
The ship is set to arrive in its home port of Fort Lauderdale, FL on December 1st when it will begin sailings to the Caribbean.
The Staterooms on Celebrity Edge
The 1,467 staterooms on Celebrity Edge are some of the most luxurious in the fleet.
All standard rooms will be fitted with the exclusive Celebrity Cashmere Bedding collection. Technological enhancements will enable cruisers to control all of the in-room settings with a touch of a button. Now, adjusting the lighting and the temperature, as well as requesting service, can all be done from in-room touch screens.
Along with a more stylish and sleek design, Celebrity Edge ushers in a brand new class of stateroom, the Infinite Veranda cabins.
These new cabins connect passengers to the ocean with a seamless transition from the stateroom to the outdoor living space. This new design is over 20% larger than typical cabins in the fleet with enough room for spacious king beds.
Celebrity Edge will also have the largest range of cabins to choose from including several new suite classes.
The new two-story Edge Villas blend indoor and outdoor living spaces for an open and relaxing experience at sea or while in port. This split-level, private oceanfront villa sleeps 2 to 4 passengers with 950 square feet of living space. The accommodations feature two stories of windows that look out over the terrace and a 3-foot deep plunge pool on the balcony.
Among the most extravagant new staterooms are the Iconic Suites. Situated over the bridge, the 2,500 square foot cabins are the largest suites in the Celebrity fleet. These impressive two-bedroom suites provide unmatched views both inside and out. With indoor entertainment and living space, as well as a private sun deck with ample loungers, a daybed, and a private whirlpool, these suites are your own private oasis.
The Outdoor Spaces on Celebrity Edge
Celebrity Edge has completely re-imagined the outdoor spaces found on a traditional cruise ship with the new Resort Deck. Encompassing the main pool area, the new Rooftop Garden, the jogging track, and the Solarium, cruisers might forget they are on a cruise ship.
Designed to be outward facing so cruisers can enjoy the ocean views, the main pool area might feel more like a trendy resort hotel. On the multi-deck space, you will find large art installations, including the two-story martini glass shaped whirlpool suspending over deck 14.
Exclusive for certain suite guests will be the Retreat Sun Deck. This chic private area will be home to the Retreat Pool and Pool Bar. Rivaling any of the five-star resorts on land, guests will have plush seating and cabanas while they enjoy the Caribbean breezes with private waitstaff.
The lively Rooftop Garden will be a living, urban playscape. It is the perfect space to relax and enjoy the plants and surrounding tranquil area. You can enjoy the views, read a book, or strike up a conversation with the ship’s horticulturist.
When the sun goes down, the Rooftop Garden comes alive with the not-to-be-missed evening entertainment. Pop-up live music performances as part of the Rooftop Concert Series will provide the perfect musical backdrop to an enjoyable evening outdoors. Also, the Garden Cinema Series is a new take on “Movies Under the Stars” with live musical performances during intermissions.
Perhaps one of the most notable outdoor features is the Magic Carpet. Perched on the starboard side of the ship, this instantly recognizable outdoor deck is the world’s first cantilevered venue at sea.
Roughly the size of a tennis court, the Magic Carpet is home to a variety of onboard experiences. When the Magic Carpet is parked on Deck 16, it offers the exclusive Dinner on the Edge experience. When on Deck 14, it becomes an extension of the Pool Deck and one of the coolest bars at sea. When on Deck 5, it becomes an extension of Raw on 5. The Magic Carpet also becomes an enhanced tender station and transition when situated on Deck 2.
Inside Celebrity Edge
The Spa on Celebrity Edge has been designed to bring cruisers closer to the natural world as well. This nature-focused approach unites state-of-the-art technology and restorative natural elements into all the spaces, therapies, and experiences. The SPA will be home to several firsts at sea offerings to help you look and feel your very best.
Those who are familiar with the Persian Garden on Celebrity ships will love the new SEA Thermal Suites on Edge. This rejuvenating spot features eight distinctive therapeutic experiences, including a Crystalarium, Salt Room, Steam Room, Float Room, as well as Heated Loungers.
The gym is even one of the most innovative at sea, offering yoga, barre, and spin classes with Peloton bikes to name a few.
One of the most anticipated venues on Celebrity Edge is Eden. This three-deck space offers one of the largest views of the sea with over 7,000 feet of glass.
Transforming throughout the day and night, Eden is certainly a dynamic adult playground. The design was inspired by patterns found in nature and includes a variety of living plants including The Tree of Life and the 18-foot tall Library of Plants.
In the morning, Eden is your respite where you can enjoy a light breakfast or unwind with your tablet and admire the views. You can even partake in Meditation at Eden, a customized wellness experience that you can only find on Edge.
As the day rolls on, Eden becomes livelier with seminars and enrichment classes, including the Art Hour that allows guests to get artistic whether it be sketching, watercolors, or knitting.
Also during the day, the venue is home to the Eden Café, a complimentary dining venue serving light fare for breakfast and lunch.
At night, the venue comes to full bloom with Eve at Eden, where a completely new world unfolds. A sultry combination of dining, art, and sinful pleasures combine for an unforgettable evening. After your dinner and a show at the Eden restaurant, you can indulge in a handcrafted cocktail from the Eden Bar on deck 5 enhanced with fresh ingredients from the Library of Plants.
The Club on Celebrity Edge is another progressive, multi-purpose space that changes its persona from morning to night.
During the day, The Club acts as a gathering space with events ranging from your non-traditional trivia contests to a Laser Maze challenge and even DJ workshops.
In the evening, The Club transforms into a place where talk shows, game shows, and live music performances reign supreme. Guests are welcome to pull up a seat at the bar and relax as a bystander or grab a cocktail and jump into the action as the evening’s activities unfold.
Late night, The Club transforms into a place of discovery with several themed parties that you can only find on Edge. Be someone completely different and new in Andromeda, where nothing is as it seems. Take a psychedelic trip on an otherworldly journey in Hypno ,the first of its kind experience at sea to use The Eye – a camera that instantly transforms photos into stunning visuals displayed on a giant LED screen behind the dance floor.
For you late-night television fans, the venue will also be home to Live at The Club, the first-ever live fully-produced late-night talk show featuring scripted segments, live music features, and special guest stars.
For the kids, the popular Camp at Sea program on Celebrity Edge has been taken to the next level with interactive experiences for younger travelers of all ages. With an ever-changing schedule of activities that is customized based on the children’s interest, the experience will never be the same. With over 500 activities developed with partners like Xbox and Lonely Planet, your children may never want to leave this dynamic space.
Teens have their own space too, the Basement, designed to resemble an urban city loft. With the one of a kind escape experience, The Orb: Teen Table Maze, to high energy dance classes and a digital graffiti wall, this is the hip place your teenagers will love spending their time.
Complimentary Dining on Celebrity Edge
Celebrity Edge has redefined the main dining room, with four separate complimentary venues each with a distinctive design and ambiance inspired by a specific region of the world.
The high-end Cosmopolitan restaurant is your metro styled venue featuring new American favorites.
Celebrity gives a nod to its heritage at Cyprus. This Greek and Mediterranean inspired menu features simple and clean takes on regional favorites in a setting that evokes the call of the sea.
The Italian inspired Tuscan Restaurant features authentic, rustic dishes with homemade pasta in a setting modeled after Italian movies and film.
The Normandie Restaurant features contemporary French cuisine in a refined and upscale atmosphere that evokes the feeling of springtime in Paris. Regional wines and rich decadent entrees are the main attraction at this restaurant.
At each venue, there will be a varied menu which changes nightly during your cruise. There will also be a Selects menu that remains the same the entire duration of the cruise. In addition, each of the four complimentary restaurants will have a Specialties menu that is unique to the restaurant.
Traditional cruisers can still opt for a set dining time with the same table and waitstaff for the duration of the cruise. However, new to Celebrity Edge is the Celebrity Select Dining Plus. This option allows cruisers to choose the complimentary restaurant and time they want to eat each night of the cruise. Reservations can be made prior to cruising or once onboard the ship.
For Aqua Class cruisers, Blu will be offering breakfast and dinner with a new menu nightly. Cruisers in other suite classes will have the option to dine at Luminae @ The Retreat for breakfast, lunch (on sea days), and dinner with menus that cannot be found anywhere else on the ship.
Casual dining will be found throughout the ship as well. Snacks are available throughout the day at the Grand Plaza Cafe. The Oceanview Cafe will be serving a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Eden Cafe offers small bites for breakfast and lunch, and healthier options are also available for breakfast and lunch at the Spa Cafe and Juice Bar. On select afternoons, The Mast Grill will be open grilling up fresh hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and more.
Specialty Dining on Celebrity Edge
Specialty dining has also been re-conceptualized on Celebrity Edge. Among the new additions is the line’s first ever steakhouse, Fine Cut. Serving select cuts of meat and seafood in an intimate setting, this specialty restaurant is the perfect place for a memorable evening.
The ship’s Le Grand Bistro will offer dining experiences morning, noon, and night. Enjoy some French pastries for breakfasts or a hearty sandwich on homemade bread for lunch. For dinner, you will become immersed in the Le Petit Chef experience.
Using innovative augmented reality technology, this dinner show comes to life on your smartphone as you watch an animated character appear beside your plate and prepare each course right before your eyes.
At the Eden Restaurant, cruisers can enjoy a unique blend of fine cuisine and performance art. During the five-course meal, Edenists will serve a choreographed series of experiential culinary temptations created by Chef Cornelius Gallagher in a dining experience that will tantalize all of your senses.
For those looking for the ultimate dinner under the stars, Rooftop Garden Grill is nestled in its own corner of the Rooftop Garden. Enjoy grill and BBQ favorites as you are surrounded by the open sky and the most incredible ocean views.
Raw on 5 is home to an impressive raw bar display showcasing an abundance of oysters, crab, and lobster. This a la carte sushi bar also includes a variety of rolls and other options.
The Magic Carpet will be home to two specialty dining experiences. When docked on Deck 5, the Magic Carpet becomes an extension of Raw on 5, serving the restaurant’s menu along with its own special menu including the signature lobster roll.
On select nights, you can opt for a Dinner on the Edge. With the Magic Carpet ascending to the top of the ship, this ultimate al fresco dining experience offers a fixed menu and uninhibited views so you can feast your eyes and your taste buds.
The Entertainment on Celebrity Edge
Most recently, Celebrity Cruises made its final reveal about Celebrity Edge’s entertainment.
Celebrity Cruises totally redesigned the typical cruise ship Main Theater. This technological marvel now has four stage areas and three movable screens capable of portraying dramatic and engrossing backdrops. With the stage extending into the crowd, cruisers will be closer to the performers than ever before.
While various events and presentations will occur during the day, this new theater shines at night with three new production shows created exclusively for Celebrity Edge.
The high-energy show Kaleidoscope will utilize the theater’s revolutionary panoramic projection screens and state-of-the-art technology to deliver a visually stunning dance extravaganza infused with music and emotion.
In the Shakespearean-inspired Hot Summer Night’s Dream, passengers will be immersed in a tale told over the course of a single enchanted hot summer’s night featuring talented performers and aerial acrobats.
Also new to Celebrity Edge will be the Jewelry Box. This musical will mix artful story telling and modern digital technology to tell the tale of the cursed kingdom of Kaleida where the royal court have been imprisoned in the confines of the ancient jewelry box.
Along with these incredible productions, Celebrity is also introducing its Headline Residency program where the brand will feature some of the world’s most talented performers. The first two of these full-production shows are Get Up, a dynamic pop concert and The Purpose, an uplifting production.
