A new addition since Oasis of the Seas’ amplification is the Ultimate Abyss. This 10-story slide towers 150 feet above sea level, twisting and turning its way from the Sports Deck all the way down to the Boardwalk.

Brave the glass launching platform, take a seat on your mat, and enjoy the ride complete with visual and audio effects.

Soar Across the Zipline

A signature attraction on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class ships, this is a must-try for adrenaline junkies. At over 80 feet long and 9 stories high, you will feel the rush of the wind as you zoom over the Boardwalk.

Albeit a short ride, it is worth gearing up to try at least once. Just be sure to sign your waiver before waiting in line.

Putt a Round of Mini-Golf

To round out your sports deck fun, head over to the Oasis Dunes to putt a round of mini-golf. This activity is yet another complimentary thing to do on Amplified Oasis of the Seas.

This 9-hole course is the perfect sea day activity for families of all ages.

Make a Splash on the Perfect Storm

Royal Caribbean has hopped on the waterslide bandwagon recently adding slides to its newly amplified ships. Oasis of the Seas is now also home to a trio of waterslides called the Perfect Storm.

These waterslides are sure to provide some wet and wild fun during those hot Caribbean days. Whether you choose to swirl around in the bowl slide or whiz down the dual racer slides, you are bound to have a good time.

Just remember to remove all jewelry before heading into line.

The Amplified Oasis of the Seas has a pool for every member of your travel party. Whether you want to let your competitive side shine in the Sports Pool or the little ones want to enjoy some time in Splashaway Bay, you are sure to find the perfect spot to spend your sea days.

For us, we love the the Beach Pool. With umbrellas, bright colors, and a fun design, it makes you feel like you are at the beach instead of sailing on one of the largest ships in the world!

Get on Island Time

If you are going to update the pool deck, then you need to upgrade the typical pool bar, right? The new Lime and Coconut bar on Royal Caribbean is quickly becoming the new standard for cruise ship pool bars. So, it’s no surprise that it was also added to the amplified Oasis of the Seas.

Amplified Oasis of the Seas bars

It’s easy to get on island time when there is not one, not two, not three, but four Lime and Coconut bars! That’s right, there are 4 locations for you to enjoy the specialty drink menu with many tasty cocktails, including the signature Lime and Coconut drink.

Have Some Adult Time in the Solarium

Sometimes you might just want a tranquil retreat while on vacation. Well, the adults only Solarium is your oasis at sea on Oasis of the Seas.

With a small pool, comfy loungers, whirlpools, and a bar, you can relax sans children. The Solarium offers uninhibited views of the ocean, with some protection from the weather, so a few mornings or lazy afternoons in this sanctuary are definitely a must.

Be King of the World

If only Leonardo DiCaprio could see you know! If you want to feel like you are king of the world, head to the bridge wings located all the way forward off the Solarium for amazing panoramic vistas.

You will want to check out the view from both the port side and starboard side wings. Nothing beats this view! It can get quite windy here on sea days, but port days are just lovely.

Go for a Run or Walk on Deck 5

With all the eating and drinking you are sure to do on your cruise, burning some extra calories is not a bad idea. Increasing your steps is one of the easiest things to do on Oasis of the Seas.

You can simply roam around the ship or get in some serious miles with the jogging track on Deck 5. This is a much nicer spot than the typical running track on the crowded pool deck. Here, you have nothing but ocean views and open deck space.

Enjoy the Complimentary Food Options

Speaking of eating, Amplified Oasis of the Seas has so many complimentary food options that you might want to skip the Windjammer buffet completely.

The new El Loco Fresh is a nice replacement for the old Wipeout Café offering burritos, tacos, nachos, and a salsa bar. We also enjoy the Park Café with its famous kummelweck sandwich and the Boardwalk Doghouse. Additionally, don’t miss the complimentary breakfast at Johnny Rockets (fees apply for lunch and dinner).

Of course, there is also Sorrento’s pizza and light snacks in the Café Promenade and the Vitality Café. The best part is that they are all included in your cruise fare.

Test Out the New Portside BBQ

If you don’t mind spending a few bucks on food, you should definitely test out the new Portside BBQ on Amplified Oasis of the Seas. This new addition gets two thumbs up from us.

Portside BBQ is a quick service venue serving all your barbecue favorites with a side of live country music.

Located on the pool deck, this casual eatery does have small a la carte prices. Though, with choices like St. Louis ribs, smoked turkey, pulled pork, mac n cheese, and cornbread, how could you not want to try this new venue?

Have a Special Dinner

The main dining room serves up a superb dinner 7 nights of your cruise, but dining at one of the specialty restaurants onboard Oasis of the Seas can make your trip feel a bit more special.

Chops Grille, the line’s signature steakhouse, or Giovanni’s Table, the onboard Italian restaurant, provide an upscale experience along with some great food.

150 Central Park is another upscale and more intimate specialty dining option. There’s also the popular Royal Caribbean restaurant Izumi Hibachi and Sushi.

Catch a Show

Royal Caribbean still outshines competitors when it comes to cruise ship entertainment. The Amplified Oasis of the Seas currently offers several headliner acts as well as the recently adapted 90-minute production of the Broadway hit CATS in the main theater.

In addition, there are comedy shows in Blaze Comedy club, ice skating shows in Studio B, and one-of-a-kind shows in the Aqua Theater onboard Oasis of the Seas.

These shows are included in your cruise fare. However, you will need to make reservations to attend. Currently, reservations can only be made once onboard the ship.

Dive into the Evening

Yes, there are plenty of pools onboard Oasis of the Seas, but the best pool is off limits to guests. The Aqua Theater, located aft on deck 6 in the Boardwalk neighborhood, is reserved for an amazing diving show.

Replacing the former Oasis of Dreams production, Aqua80 is hands down one of the best shows on a Royal Caribbean ship. With an impressive mix of 80’s music, dancing, synchronized swimming, acrobatics, and high-diving feats, this show should not be missed.

Sing a Tune

Get ready to sing! The new Spotlight Karaoke, located in the Royal Promenade on Amplified Oasis of the Seas, offers nightly family and adult karaoke sessions. This karaoke bar is a popular place almost any night of the cruise.

When cruisers are not doing their best renditions of Sweet Caroline, the venue also hosts trivia, game shows, and more.

Even if you are not brave enough to participate in these activities, being a spectator is just as fun.

Get Involved

The Amplified Oasis of the Seas offers plenty of complimentary daytime and nighttime activities. Step outside your comfort zone and get involved. After all, you are on vacation.

Besides the abovementioned karaoke, you can partake in a number of different dance classes during the day. There’s also various live music around the ship in the evenings, from Latin music in Boleros, to acoustic guitar music in the pub, piano music in the Schooner Bar, and a house band. So, feel free to sing and dance along.

You can also test your knowledge at one of many trivia sessions. Or perhaps, become a contestant in a silly game show. With options like Majority Rules, the Perfect Couple, and Yes or No, you’re sure to have a good time.

If you have never sailed on a Royal Caribbean Oasis Class ship, then you should definitely hitch a ride at the Rising Tide Bar at least once during your cruise.

Unfortunately, this venue no longer offers a signature cocktail menu; though, your Deluxe Drink Package works here.

Grab a Drink From a Robot

Another novelty bar on the Amplified Oasis of the Seas is the Bionic Bar. This bar features two robot bartenders who serve up over 50 different concoctions.

Order a signature drink from the menu or create your own, then watch these futuristic mixologists whip it up right in front of you.

While this bar is a bit gimmicky, it is worth at least one visit for the experience. If you are cruising with kids, the robotic bartenders can mix up non-alcoholic drinks as well.

Of note, drinks from the Bionic Bar are excluded from the Crown and Anchor drink vouchers; though, the Deluxe Beverage Package does still work here.

Another new addition to the bar line up on the Amplified Oasis of the Seas is Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade. This venue located on the Boardwalk is quickly becoming a fan favorite.

At Playmakers, you can cheer on your home team, partake is some arcade games, and even snack on some pub favorites. It’s the perfect place to grab a handcrafted brew and watch a game on the big screens with friends.

While the food is priced a la carte, you don’t want to miss the nachos, chicken wings, or onion ring tower either.
